In the Korean MMORPG Echo of Soul , the servers are going down in Korea. The reason is that they were not satisfied with the latest developments.
It was released only a few months ago in Europe, while it has been on the market in Korea for 2 years: Echo of Soul.
Now the publisher Hangames in South Korea announces that the servers will be shut down in October. They state as the official reason that they do not see themselves able to provide players with “satisfactory game content.” Apparently, fans are dissatisfied with the game updates.
The publisher is anyway withdrawing from the PC market, focusing more on mobile. They also recently parted ways with “Devilian.”
What impact this will have on the western version of Echo of Soul, and whether the development studio Nvius will continue to develop Echo of Soul for another publisher, we will surely find out in the coming days.
They have already announced at the Aeria Games forum for Echo of Soul that they want to publish their own press release about why this has no impact on their version.
