Many fans are waiting for new information about Season 1 and the Battle Pass of Apex Legends. At the same time, EA is launching an official stream on YouTube – but revealed nothing about the Battle Pass. This caused tensions in the community.
This was shown in the stream: In the official EA stream on YouTube, the hosts only played Apex Legends for about two hours. The theme of the stream was to highlight the legend Caustic, who was played in every round.
It is unclear whether this was meant to show that Caustic is not too weak a character despite the hitbox issues.
However, there were some giveaways. Viewers could win a Founder’s Pack and a Starter Pack for Apex Legends.
No new information or announcements were made.
This is what fans expected: The Apex Legends community apparently wanted to see something entirely different.
According to a leak, March 12 was expected as the start date for the Battle Pass and Season 1.
As EA coincidentally updated the Origin page for Apex Legends on March 12 and then started a livestream, many players took this as a hint for more information about the Battle Pass in the stream.
However, this information did not come, although it was not announced by EA either.
Many fans repeatedly insisted in the chat and on other platforms that Season 1 should finally begin or that EA should at least provide more information.
These are the heavy consequences: In response to the community’s mood, Respawn finally spoke up on Reddit. The developers urged the community not to believe every leak and stated that the Battle Pass would not be released on March 12.
However, this did little to calm the community. While some players appreciated this clarification, many players expressed their disappointment:
My disappointment is immense and my day is ruined

Calls for the Battle Pass are growing louder in EA’s official forum.
Apex Legends players also vented their frustration on Twitter:
I’m done with Apex Legends until they bring a Battle Pass. It’s damn annoying that you don’t even give us a release date.
All in all, the (missing) release of the Battle Pass could have gone a bit better, judging by the reactions from the Apex Legends community.
When to expect Season 1 is still uncertain.
What do you think about the stream? Are you still playing Apex Legends without the Battle Pass for now?
At least our author Benedict is eagerly awaiting the Battle Pass:
