Here’s where the rumors come from: Gaming editor Mike Straw from Insider Gaming mentioned in a post on X: “I hear rumors that FIFA/2K are working on announcing a partnership to develop an officially licensed FIFA game. I’m working on hopefully finding out more about it.”
However, the well-known gaming journalist has not provided any evidence or details about the source of this information. But the well-known leak site for FC 24, futdonk, also posted on Instagram that FIFA and 2K Games might already be collaborating.
According to futdonk, in addition to the mentioned new FIFA game, even a Lego soccer game is said to be in development at 2K Games. This was briefly spotted in November 2023 in the PlayStation Store (via reddit).
If the rumors have any truth to them, it would be the first soccer game for 2K Games, which has been publishing sports games in basketball, golf, hockey, and wrestling under 2K Sports.
