The career of EA FC 25 has a few interesting innovations to offer. Here we show you the most exciting new features at a glance.
In the past, the career mode was not particularly known for its revolutionary new features. Really big innovations like the integration of a cooperative online mode, which fans have wished for years, have been rare until now.
And that doesn’t change in EA FC 25 either. Nevertheless, EA is bringing a few exciting innovations this year, and we will show them to you here.
Bringing Zidane to Aachen in the 3rd league? No problem
In the player career of FC 25, you can now start a career with well-known former stars and bring them back to the present as young versions. While this is super unrealistic, it promises to be quite fun.
For example, you can hire as a young Zinédine Zidane in Aachen and start a world career from there in the present time.
There is just one major drawback: some icons will only be available to pre-order customers. Thus, Ronaldo (R9), Zidane, and Beckham are reserved only for pre-order customers. If you do not pre-order FC 25, then you can start your player career with the following icons:
- Andrea Pirlo
- Ruud Van Nistelrooy
- Kelly Smith
- Thierry Henry
Whether the pre-order icons will also be unlocked for everyone later is questionable. We also do not yet know which icons will be added in the future.
Start in the middle of the season with “Live Start Points”
In EA FC 25, it will be possible to start a career in the middle of the season. You can join whenever you want. The game remembers the results of all major leagues, and you can simply start your career whenever it suits you.
Your club just lost the important derby and the championship is gone? In FC 25, it should be possible to join before such a game, do better than the real coach, and save the season.
You can start your career at these times:
- At the beginning of the season.
- You select a week within the already played season in real football.
- Or at special moments that EA will provide.
This feature will work in 11 different leagues in the team and player career. The feature is not expected to be available right at the game’s release but at a later date according to EA.
Improve youth players with the new Rush mode
In the career of FC 25, there will be a youth tournament every 2 months in which the new 5VS5 mode Rush will be played. Here you put your youth players in who you want to improve. If you win the tournament, there should be a heap of experience for your rough diamonds.
Additionally, you can choose whether to play the youth players with their current attributes or with their potential. So you can test early how well your future superstar performs on the pitch.
Women’s football now also in career mode
After women’s football was already introduced in Ultimate Team last year, it’s now time for the career mode. Here you can now take over the coach position in 5 major women’s leagues, including the Women’s Champions League.
Included are:
- Barclays Women’s Super League
- NWSL
- D1 FFF
- Liga F
- Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga
Are there differences compared to men’s football? According to EA, there will be no gameplay differences in the career mode between male and female professionals. Only the salaries and budgets will be adjusted to be closer to real women’s football.
Additionally, you can switch from a women’s team to a men’s team and vice versa.
Otherwise, the career mode will receive a new, more practical UI, more countries for scouting youth players, and improvements to the player editor. What do you think of the changes in career mode? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
