EA Sports FC 24 introduces a major novelty in Ultimate Team with the Evolutions feature to enhance your cards. But which Evolutions should you use and with which cards? Here are 5 suggestions for strong upgrades.
What is Evolutions? With Evolutions, EA has unveiled a new feature for Ultimate Team in FC 24 that allows you to strengthen selected cards by completing tasks. Not only can the rating improve, but there can also be enhancements for these attributes:
- Skill Moves
- Weak Foot
- Work Rates
- PlayStyles
- Positions
A player can even be improved multiple times. We will tell you which players you should use here.
5 strong Evolutions for starting in FC 24 Ultimate Team
We present these Evolutions: Here we introduce you to Evolutions and which players could fit well into the available Evolutions. Additionally, we show you what you need to do for each of the individual Evolutions.
However, keep in mind that you can only upgrade one Evolution player at a time.
Timo Werner from 82 to 84 – Founders Evolution
If you start in FC 24 with a Bundesliga team and are looking for a strong striker, Timo Werner could be a very good option – especially with the Founders Evolution. If you place the Leipzig player in this Evolution, you can turn him into a very strong attacker.
Particularly exciting about the upgrade are the improvements in pace (+3), shooting (+3), and dribbling (+3). But the best upgrade is likely the +1 for the weak foot, giving Werner 5 stars there, allowing him to shoot effectively with both feet.

What you need to do to complete this Evolution:
Level 1:
- Win 2 matches in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro) and have your active EVO player in your team.
Level 2:
- Win 4 matches in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro) and have your active EVO player in your team.
Darwin Nunez from 82 to 84 – Founders Evolution
At the launch of FIFA 23, the OTW card of Nunez enjoyed great popularity, especially because the striker is tall, physically strong, and fast. In FC 24, his gold card could become popular again – especially if you put it in the Founders Evolution.
If you do this and level the card up to Level 2, you will get a lightning-fast attacker with strong shooting stats, good dribbling, decent shots, and impressive physicality. Additionally, Nunez gains +1 for the weak foot at the end of the Evolution, making him even more dangerous.

What tasks you need to fulfill for the Evolution we showed with Timo Werner.
Joel Matip from 82 to 84 – Defensive Pace
To turn a slow defender into a fast one, the defensive pace Evolution is particularly suitable. A standout candidate for this is Joel Matip, who defends for Liverpool and could be a great addition if you also improve Nunez through an Evolution.
If you level Matip up to the end, you will get a hefty pace upgrade of 15 points. But not only the pace improves; Matip also gets better at passing (+6) and physicality (82).
Overall, you will then get a fairly competitive defender that no one would have played without Evolutions.

What you need to do to complete this Evolution:
Level 1:
- Win 2 matches in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro) and have your active EVO player in your team.
Level 2:
- Win 3 matches in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro) with at least a 2-goal lead and have your active EVO player in your team.
Ansu Fati from 78 to 84 – Relentless Wing
With the “Relentless Wing” Evolution, there is a catch that other Evolutions don’t have. It costs. Specifically, either 50,000 coins or 1,000 FC Points. That’s quite a lot, but in the end, you also get a card with a hefty upgrade. For example, you can use Ansu Fati, who transforms from a 78-rated card to an 84-rated card.
The card receives a noteworthy upgrade in shooting, passing, and dribbling (each +7) and even improves its already fast pace (+4). Additionally, he gains the PlayStyle “Relentless”, which reduces fatigue during the game and increases recovery during halftime.

If you purchased the Ultimate Edition of FC 24 and already have 4,600 FC Points in your account at launch, then this Evolution could be worth considering. Other good options for the Evolution would be Jota (78), Feller (79), or Bouanga (78).
What you need to do to complete this Evolution:
Level 1:
- Score 4 goals with your active EVO player in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro).
- Play 5 matches in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro) and have your active EVO player in your team.
Level 2:
- Assist in 4 goals with your active EVO player in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro).
- Win 2 matches in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro) and have your active EVO player in your team.
- Play 5 matches in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro) and have your active EVO player in your team.
Jobe Bellingham 63 to 79 – Useful Supply (Part 1)
With this Evolution, you have the opportunity to make the otherwise weak bronze cards finally playable. A good choice for this endeavor would be Jobe Bellingham, whose brother Jude is currently causing a stir at Real Madrid.
If you choose Bellingham, you will get a decent central midfielder who can be particularly helpful at the start of Ultimate. All values are stable, and especially the dribbling (82) and physicality (74) stand out.

Also, this Evolution is especially suitable because you can immediately use the resulting player in the next Evolution. You can further improve Bellingham with “Useful Supply (Part 2)” to receive an 83-rated card.
What you need to do to complete this Evolution:
Level 1:
- Play 2 matches in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro) and have your active EVO player in your team.
Level 2:
- Win 3 matches in Squad Battles or Rivals/Champions (minimum difficulty: Semi-Pro) and have your EVO player in your team.
Looking closely at the Evolutions, it quickly becomes clear that they can become an important weapon in your arsenal.
