For the FIFA successor EA Sports FC 24, the ratings of all cards are finally known. However, some superstars have to endure severe downgrades. We show you which stars are too weak for your team this year.
These are the ratings: After EA Sports published several Top 24 ratings of the various leagues, they have now released the complete database. We now have access to all players and can take a detailed look at how strong the cards are.
And there we discover some former stars who are not as strong in FC 24 as in previous years.
Jamie Vardy is relegated with Leicester City and his rating as well
Jamie Vardy, who sensationally won the English championship with Leicester City in 2016, had always had a solid rating and was always a good striker. Especially for the start of a FUT season, he often had a recommendable strong card.
In FIFA 23, he still had an 85-rated card and now has to endure a huge downgrade to 78.
The downgrade should be explained by his club’s relegation as well as the fact that Vardy scored only 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 37 games. Unfortunately, his new card no longer looks attractive at all, and only a few will include him in their team.
Aubameyang now has the same rating as in FIFA 14
It is strange to see how the former Bundesliga star Aubameyang continues to decline in rating. But in FC 24, the downward trend continues and Aubameyang drops from 85 to 80 points in the overall rating. His new card resembles his BVB card in FIFA 14, when he also had an 80 rating.
Back then, the Gabonese had a speed of 93, which has now dropped to 83 in FC 24. Now, his new card is only better in shooting and is actually not recommended for any team in FC 24.
From FIFA 17 cover star to rank 230 of all gold cards
Marco Reus was on the cover of FIFA 17 and had a very strong rating of 88 back then. Now, in EA Sports FC 24, the Dortmund star has to endure a significant downgrade. Compared to FIFA 23, Reus drops by 2 points in the overall rating, so he only has an 83-rated card now.
And unfortunately, the card isn’t really good. It mainly lacks speed. Additionally, while the shooting and passing values are still more than solid, they no longer match the once world-class stats. For a starter team, Reus might be interesting for a short time.
Sterling with a significant downgrade
Raheem Sterling has received a significant downgrade. The Chelsea winger drops from an 86 rating to an 83 rating, and now has a card that doesn’t look very dangerous anymore.
The biggest weakening for the new Sterling card is the speed, which is incredibly important for wingers. In FIFA 23, Sterling still had a speed value of 90, but now it has dropped to 85. The other values are okay, but nothing special.
If you draw Sterling in FC 24, the joy will probably not be very great.
Cristiano Ronaldo weaker than ever
CR7 was among the best cards in the game for years, and it was the greatest thing to draw him. And even last year, he could still boast a 90 rating. However, in the FIFA successor FC 24, the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner now only has a rating of 86 and is not even among the top 25 anymore, sliding down to rank 95 of the best gold cards in the game.
The poor rating is likely due to his age, as well as his poor first half of the season at Manchester United. Moreover, Ronaldo plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, in a league that is not among the strongest.
His current gold card still looks okay, but it no longer offers values one would expect from a superstar. His speed is unfortunately far too low, and his dribbling is not at a high level. Only the shooting values are still at a strong level.
It will be exciting to see how often he will make it into the Team of the Week with strong performances to earn improved cards.
