The new EA Sports FC 24 deep dive trailer for Ultimate Team has been out for a few days now. The first reviews didn’t take long to arrive.
One of the most well-known German FIFA streamers, GamerBrother, reacted to the new features on his stream highlight channel and expressed some skepticism towards certain innovations.
In particular, he is critical of two adjustments presented as new features. What these features are and which important topic is not mentioned at all.
“These are not new features!”

In his over 20-minute video, FIFA content creator GamerBrother reacted to the new trailer for Ultimate Team in FC 24. For him, it is clear that two innovations do not represent really new features.
Improved influence of icons on overall chemistry: Icons provide, in addition to their two nation points, also a league point for the overall chemistry in FC 24. This is EA Sports’ response to the oversight from FIFA 23, where icons lost much of their popularity from past FIFA years because they were unsuitable for team building.
According to GamerBrother, this is more of an adjustment than a completely new feature.
Claim-All function: This is what the community has longed for. Instead of collecting all rewards in the objectives separately, there is now a Claim-All button, which in German translates to a “Beanspruche-Alles-funktion”. That this is a meaningful addition is confirmed by one of the top comments under the video.
User hami1012 writes: “It’s kind of funny that one of the most mentioned features in the trailer is the ‘claim all’ button.” 350 people like this comment.
To speak of a new feature here is at least questionable. It seems more like a practical modification for the menu.

Information about game modes in Ultimate Team is completely missing
After complaining about the allegedly new features, he also criticizes the lack of information about the most popular game modes within Ultimate Team.
The Weekend League, Division Rivals, or the Draft Mode were not mentioned at all in the trailer. It remains to be seen whether anything changes in the rewards or ranking systems in these game modes. However, due to the lack of information, we do not expect so.
Especially for the Draft Mode, which is likely to become more popular again with the new chemistry system without position modifications, consistently better rewards would certainly be a welcome incentive.
At least for the Squad Battle Mode, there is good news. According to GamerBrother, the playing time will be reduced to four minutes halftime length.
All fans who were looking forward to completely new game modes in Ultimate Team must be disappointed. It seems that there will not be a new mode added to the Moments Mode, which made its debut in FIFA 23.
GamerBrother draws a rather sobering conclusion after the deep dive trailer for FC 24 Ultimate Team. In his opinion, one cannot waste a single minute in an already “only 6-minute video” to present so-called new features, which are fundamentally just “cool adjustments”.
Thus, for the streamer, the end of his video concludes that he would give the trailer a “6 out of 10”.
