In EA Sports FC 24 you can improve players through Evolutions. And this system could have a big impact on what cards you use.
These are Evolutions: The Evolutions in EA Sports FC 24 are a new feature where you can upgrade various cards of your club. A first look at the game now shows how the system works.
There are various Evolutions in Ultimate Team that you can use. Some are unlocked simply by playing, while others must be purchased with coins.
One of the first Evolutions, the Founders Evolution, is given to players directly at the release of the game when they receive Founders status. This is achieved by playing the game and connecting your EA account to the servers by November 1, 2023.
So far, it was only clear that the Evolutions would provide opportunities for improvement, but details were largely missing. However, the first Evolutions are now known, and they could be really exciting.
How to use Evolutions: Generally, it works like this:
- You select a player for a specific Evolution.
- The players must fit certain requirements, which vary from Evolution to Evolution.
- You can easily filter for suitable players within your club.
- After selection, you must complete challenges with the player.
- Then you receive the upgrades.
What the first Evolutions bring in EA Sports FC 24 – Making weak cards really useful
These are the first Evolutions: When you start EA Sports FC 24 for the first time, you will currently find 6 Evolutions.

- The Founders Evolution: It introduces cards with the right requirements; in the first step, a 3-point upgrade for pace and shot. Additionally, there are 3 more points for dribbling and physicality, as well as an upgrade to the weak foot in the second step.
- Welcome to the Evolutions: Here, at step 1, there is a pace and dribbling upgrade of 1, as well as another upgrade of one point for passing and physicality at step 2.
- Defensive pace: A center-back can get an upgrade of 3 points on passing and defense, and a total of 7 points on pace. Level 2 then adds another 5 points to physicality, 3 to passing, and 8 to pace.
- Relentless Wing: This Evolution costs 50,000 coins. It brings the playing style

and +7 shot, then the additional position RF and +7 passing, and in the third step +4 pace and +4 dribbling. - Useful Reinforcement (Part 1): A huge upgrade for your bronze cards. The Evolution brings +16 shot, +5 pace, and +14 passing in the first step, as well as +15 defense, +16 dribbling, and +12 physicality in the second step.
- Useful Reinforcement (Part 2): If you have already completed one Evolution, you can place a second one on top. It brings +3 passing, +3 defense, and the playing style Tiki-Taka in the first step, +3 shot and +3 dribbling in the second, and +1 pace, +3 physicality, and the playing style through ball in the third step.
What makes the Evolutions so powerful? For the first time in Ultimate Team, you have the possibility to choose which of your players should receive some very strong upgrades. Through the Useful Reinforcement Evolutions, for example, you can transform one of your bronze cards into a strong special card.
It would be conceivable to take a 5-star skiller and equip them with strong upgrades. Or you can make your favorite players really playable in FUT – even if they perhaps don’t have the highest stats by default. You just have to make a good choice, then you can possibly build some really strong meta cards.
It will be exciting to see how this feature impacts the upcoming season in Ultimate Team. EA stated that they will continue to release new Evolutions in the coming weeks.
Other innovations for FUT were recently presented by EA Sports FC 24.
