In FIFA 20 there are numerous players that you instantly recognize. However, there are also players that have absolutely nothing in common with their real-life counterparts. We show you footballers who urgently need new face scans for FIFA 21 .
While many players finally received face scans in FIFA 20, which were hardly recognizable before. Nevertheless, there are still players from major clubs who collect dozens of special cards in Ultimate Team but still do not have game faces.
For these players, we wish for a new look, so that we are not as startled during goal celebrations when we see the players up close.
These players urgently need better faces in FIFA 21
Mainly young players are affected: Young players most frequently do not have proper faces in FIFA 20. It is quite possible that EA Sports wants to wait and see if it is worth creating elaborate face scans. After all, a hyped young star could quickly disappear from the spotlight.
However, most of our examples are even regulars in European top teams:
Frenkie de Jong
This is De Jong: A TOTY (Team of the Year) and a TOTS card (Team of the Season) were already awarded to the Dutchman in FIFA 20 for his outstanding performances in professional football. However, EA still owes him a realistic appearance. That is a pity, especially because his club colleagues at FC Barcelona do not lack game faces.
In the next FIFA installment, it is therefore urgently time for a new face for Frenkie de Jong.
Erling Braut Haaland
This is Haaland: The Norwegian has been in the Bundesliga since the winter break and has been causing a stir with numerous goals since then. And even in FIFA, the Dortmund player can impress with good stats.
However, there are issues with his in-game appearance: his height and hairstyle are close to the original, but his face has little resemblance to the real Haaland. Therefore, a significant upgrade is urgently needed here.
Allan Saint-Maximin
This is Saint-Maximin: The fast French forward Saint-Maximin is having a strong season in the Premier League and is extremely popular among FUT players. However, he has not yet received a face scan, which personally annoys the player.

Martin Ødegaard
This is Ødegaard: The once top talent is now playing on loan at Real Sociedad and is attracting attention with good performances. However, he does not have a realistic appearance in FIFA. This particularly annoys FUT players, as Ødegaard has top cards in FUT 20, which unfortunately do not resemble the original at all.
Steven Bergwijn
This is Bergwijn: The fast right winger is a regular player at Tottenham and has already played 9 matches for the Dutch national team. Nevertheless, he still lacks a game face in FIFA 20. Let’s hope that this will change in FIFA 21.

It is therefore even more surprising why the mentioned top players have not received the same attention from the developer.
