With Dragon Age: The Veilguard, a new installment in the RPG series from Bioware was released after a long time. However, not all fans were convinced. It also seems that the game did not meet the expectations for EA. A new report suggests that the big brand EA FC 25 was also disappointing.

The RPG from Bioware performed worse than expected for EA. According to the report, the game reached 1.5 million players in the 3rd quarter, which is 50% worse than expected. But it seems that the big money-maker EA FC 25 did not perform well either.

What does EA say about EA FC 25? Originally, EA expected medium single-digit growth for their live service offerings. That does not seem to have materialized. EA even states in the report that they are now expecting a decline in the mid-single digits.

According to a report by Jason Schreier on Bloomberg, EA expected bookings of $2.4 to $2.55 billion for the third quarter. However, they were at $2.22 billion (12.94% less than expected in the best case). The total forecast for the fiscal year has likely been lowered from $7.5 to $7.8 billion to $7.15 billion (about 8.3% less than expected in the best case).
EA plans to release an official result for the third quarter on February 4, 2025, during a conference.
