When is Battlefield 6 going to be released? The release of Battlefield 6 is apparently on October 10, 2025, which is in just under 2.5 months.
Where does the information come from? EA first released a trailer for Battlefield 6 on July 24, 2025, sharing first impressions of the shooter’s story campaign. The trailer was accompanied by the game’s website going live. On the website, there was a disclaimer revealing the release date.
The disclaimer stated that there would be a pre-order, but the pre-order offer would end on October 10, 2025. “Pre-order offers often end on the release day of a game.” EA has since taken the page with the disclaimer offline (see ea.com).
Previously, rumors had circulated on the internet that Battlefield 6 would be released on October 10, but the date was not yet set in stone and could still be postponed.

What release date was previously anticipated? October 10 is indeed earlier than some Battlefield fans expected earlier this year, since the Battlefield Labs only started in February 2025. This is a testing environment where players had the opportunity to provide feedback on the game.
The first estimates from the community were pointing to a release in 2026 (via Reddit), especially since the release of GTA 6 was originally planned for Fall 2025, which every other game wants to avoid as much as possible.
After the release of GTA 6 was postponed in May 2025 and EA said a few days later in an investors’ conference (via ea.com) that Battlefield 6 would be released in fiscal year 2026, a Battlefield release by the end of 2025 was on the table. The fiscal year 2026 for EA runs until March 2026.
November of this year was particularly seen as likely, as both Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042 were released in November – although both games were originally supposed to appear in October and were postponed. This could still happen with Battlefield 6.
