In EA FC 25 the Shapeshifters event will take place on Friday, June 13th. At 7:00 PM, players with all new positions and stats will be released. On MeinMMO, we will introduce you to the event and the first promo team.
What is Shapeshifters? Shapeshifters means shapeshifters in English and aptly describes what the event brings.
You can expect players who will receive an upgrade in completely different positions. They will take on entirely new roles on the pitch. For example, midfielders can become goalkeepers or defenders can turn into strikers, receiving appropriate stat improvements and play styles.
This allows for entirely new meta cards to be established. In EA FC 24, huge keepers in the attack especially caused a stir. And for FC 25, there are some curious position changes on the horizon.

Shapeshifters Team 1: 3 players confirmed, 24 more leaked
Which players are confirmed in Shapeshifters Team 1? An announcement screen in Ultimate Team presents 3 players with high confidence. The following cards are shown along with (ratings) and position changes:
- Icon Maradona (98), who you can play as a RF instead of a CAM
- Kane (98) from FC Bayern, who gives up his position as ST and now plays as a CM
- Hero Kompany (95), who moves from the traditional CB to the net as GK
The 3 players presented show that Icons, Heroes, and regular cards are included in the Shapeshifters event.
What other Shapeshifters have been leaked? The well-known EA FC insider Fut Sheriff has leaked all players from Shapeshifters Team 1 on his X account before the official start of the event.

Will more Shapeshifters be released? Yes. In the objectives and as Squad Building Challenges (SBCs), you can expect additional new cards. Furthermore, we think it’s likely that there will be an option to create your own Shapeshifters stars in the Evolutions.
