In EA FC 25, the familiar player tunnel returns as a pack animation. But how can you tell early on whether the card is going to be a hit? Our guide shows you.
What is a walkout anyway? A “walkout” is an established term in the FC community that describes when opening a pack results in the best player appearing, walking through the image, and then standing by their card for a while, performing a dance, for example.
However, this only happens with truly high-rated players who have a rating of at least 86.
You can find all the information about the game and what to expect there in our release overview for EA FC 25.
However, like every year, you have a way to recognize early on whether it is a walkout before the player is fully visible. In EA FC 24, for example, the spotlights and the camera movement played a crucial role at the start of the pack opening.
In EA FC 25, details are again important to recognize how strong the card could be. We’ll show you what to look out for.
Lights in the background indicate a walkout
This is how you recognize the different card types: Unlike in previous years, the pack animation in FC 25 is now noticeably longer again. The player tunnel also returns, which has already announced the cards in FIFA 20 and 21.
But even though the animation lasts longer, you need to be quick if you want to spot whether you are getting a walkout.
This is how the animations differ:
- No walkout: At the bottom of the tunnel, two lights start that shine all the way to the end of the tunnel. If they reach the end and no other lights follow, it is a card with a rating below 86 and thus not a walkout.
- Walkout 86+: After the floor lights have moved to the end, additional lights appear at the very back of the player tunnel. These appear next to the still unrecognizable player and shine diagonally up to the ceiling of the player tunnel. If you see these lights, you can be sure: that is a walkout.
