In EA FC 25 you can now upgrade numerous, weaker icons. On MeinMMO, we provide you with the most important information about the new evolution (EVO) and have 5 inexpensive but strong options for less than 150,000 coins for you.
What is this EVO? “Legendary Upgrade” is the first exclusive Icon-EVO in FC 25. Here you can upgrade icons with new upgrades on all their stats. Only base icons with a total rating of a maximum of 88 rating points are allowed for the EVO.
The icon receives the following upgrades after completing the EVO:
- Speed: +10 (max. 86)
- Shooting: +6 (max. 90)
- Passing: +8 (max. 86)
- Dribbling: +5 (max. 89)
- Defense: +2 (max. 89)
- Physical: +2 (max. 85)
- Weak Foot: +1★ (max. 4)
- Skill Moves: +1★ (max. 4)
How do you get the EVO? To unlock the EVO, you need to complete a Squad Building Challenge named “Icon Evolution Upgrade.” To complete the EVO, you need a team with an 85 rating that includes a Team of the Week card. The cost for this is around 40,000 coins for the EVO.
Where can you find the Icon-EVO? Once you have completed the corresponding SBC, you can add the EVO to your club. Once the EVO is in your club, select the evolution menu and go to the “Cosmetic and Exclusive Content” tab. There, the EVO “Legendary Upgrade” will be available to you.

The icons of Bastian Schweinsteiger (150,000 coins) and Laurent Blanc (170,000 coins) would also fit very well with the upgrades of the Icon-EVO, but unfortunately, both players are currently permanently out of stock (as of January 27, 2:00 PM). Maybe you get lucky and have one of them in your club or can get them with a little patience on the transfer market. For Team of the Year (TOTY), you can also create your own TOTY star in the EVOs.
