In EA FC 25 you can now earn a guaranteed Hero. Many of these special cards even promise a big profit. On MeinMMO, we reveal which players are really worth it and what a valuable card from the Hero Pack is.
What is this Hero Pack? You can unlock the pack through a new Squad Building Challenge (SBC). The new SBC has been released under the name “Max.-88-Basis-Hero-Upgrade” on Wednesday, October 23 at 7:00 PM and is available for 6 days. You can repeat the pack after 4 days.
As the name suggests, the Hero you draw can have a maximum rating of 88. This means some expensive, but also less valuable Heroes are excluded.
How do you get the Hero Pack? To receive the pack, you need to complete 3 individual SBCs with the following requirements (and costs) for the “Max.-88-Basis-Hero-Upgrade”:
- 1 team with an 84 rating (about 30,000 coins)
- 1 team with an 85 rating, with 1 Team of the Week player (about 55,000 coins)
- 1 team with an 86 rating, with 1 player of at least 87 rating (about 80,000 coins)

How much does the Hero Pack cost? If you have to buy all players for the Hero Upgrade, you will land at a price of about 165,000 coins according to Ultimate Team service Futbin. That’s quite expensive. However, many of the possible Heroes are worth many times that.
Keep in mind that the drawn card is untradeable and therefore cannot be sold on the transfer market. So you need to be clear beforehand whether the Hero Pack is worth it for you.
Below, we show you the 10 most valuable cards you can draw from the pack.

Is the SBC worth it? – This is how great the chance of a win is
In total, there are 65 cards available in the Hero SBC. Based on the prices, the following data arises:
- 26 cards are worth at least twice the SBC price
- 4 cards will earn you a profit of around 100,000 coins
- 5 cards are approximately as expensive as the SBC
- 30 cards will result in a loss of between 10,000 to 145,000 coins
However, we do not know exactly how high the chance of obtaining a specific individual card is, as not every card appears with the same frequency.
So is the Hero SBC worth it? The Hero Pack remains a bit of a gamble. As with all other packs, you need a bit of luck to make a profit.
