In EA FC 24 you can still get stronger players from the Upgrade SBCs step by step with a simple method today. We will show you how it works.
Which Upgrade SBCs are we talking about? The focus is on the new Upgrade SBCs that have appeared as part of the Dynasties event, which are:
- Player Choice (1 out of 3 players with at least 78)
- 10x 83 Upgrade
- Double Upgrade 85+
The order of the Upgrade SBCs is crucial. If you follow our method, you should gradually receive better cards with a bit of time and a small starting capital of coins and players. We will explain how exactly this works below.

With a simple method to guaranteed “85+ players”
How does the upgrade method work? The method is designed so that you can immediately use almost all players you receive from the first two upgrades again for the next better SBC. Of course, this excludes players with a rating of 85 or higher, as we want to craft these players through the method.
First Step: 78+ Player Choice (infinitely repeatable)
You start with the 78+ Player Choice, which you can complete infinitely. After completion, you can choose one from three random players, all of whom have at least a rating of 78.
This upgrade has the following requirements: a team with 5 gold players, one of which is rare.
According to Futbin, the price for this SBC is only 2,800 coins. If you have a few useless cards lying around in your club, you can even complete the Player Choice a few times for free. With a bit of luck, you will get the players you need for the next Upgrade SBC.
Which ratings and cards from the Player Choice help you? Theoretically, you mainly need cards with a minimum rating of 83 or higher. Especially worthwhile are the informs from the Team of the Week (TOTW). This year, they have a consistent value of over 35,000 coins. Therefore, you should definitely take such cards, even if they might have a lower rating than other players.
However, all player ratings of 81 or 82 are also helpful, as you need them for the next better upgrade, especially for the last and strongest SBC. But more on that later.
So don’t be upset if the 83+ players don’t appear right away. When you have collected a number of 83s (at least 9) after a while, you will proceed to the next SBC.
Second Step: 10x 83+ Upgrade (2x repeatable)
Next, we move on to the stronger upgrade pack, which you can repeat twice. This pack contains ten players, all with a minimum rating of 83 or higher. In the worst case, you will get at least a value of 10,000 coins back (if an 83 costs 1,000 coins).
This Upgrade SBC has the following requirements: an 83-rated team with a TOTW player
According to Futbin, the value for this SBC is around 42,000 coins and thus represents a significant price increase compared to the first SBC. The factor that makes this upgrade expensive is not necessarily the 83-rated team itself, but especially the required TOTW player.
If you were unlucky enough not to get a TOTW from the previous Player Choice or don’t have such a player in your club, you will need to spend some coins and invest in an inform card.
Keep in mind that you only need 9 players with an 83 rating for an 83-rated team. You can fill the two free spots with 82-rated players.
Which ratings and cards from this upgrade help you? Once you have completed the pack, you should open it immediately, as the contents of this pack can give you one or more high-rated cards (85+), which you can save or maybe even use. Considering the next better SBC, 84-rated players are also very interesting.
In the worst case, it provides you with “only” player material (83) to be able to complete this SBC again.
You will then repeat the second step one more time. With a bit of luck, you should have already collected one or more 85+ players either from the first step (Player Choice) or from the second step (10x 83) before moving on to the last upgrade pack. This one has a moderate probability of pulling really strong players.
Third Step: 85+ Double Upgrade (2x repeatable)
Finally, we come to the best Upgrade SBC in our series. The chances of getting one or two walkouts (86+) in a pack are particularly high here.
This Upgrade SBC requires you to build two teams:
- an 82-rated team with at least two 84-rated cards
- an 83-rated team
The pack costs around 23,000 coins according to Futbin, which is even lower than the 10x 83+ Upgrade. However, due to the requirements, it is advisable to complete this one last in the sequence, as you can now use the remaining 83-rated cards from the second round of 10x 83 for this SBC.
For the 82-rated team, you will of course need the two required 84-rated cards. You can then fill the rest with 81-rated players. You will build the 83-rated team as mentioned above.
