In EA FC 24 there are now brand new retro jerseys, and one of them has left the well-known streamer GamerBrother speechless.
One of the most famous German streamers for EA FC 24 and host of the soccer show At Broski, GamerBrother, discovered the new retro jersey of RB Leipzig during one of his streams and spontaneously expressed his opinion about it.
This is the jersey in question: As part of the current Golazo event, EA has released some retro jerseys for Ultimate Team, which can be purchased for 40,000 coins. Among them are kits from Borussia Dortmund from the 1975/76 season, Sporting Lisbon with a jersey from 1924, and Liverpool FC with its 95/96 jersey.
But the double DFB-Pokal winner RB Leipzig is also in the mix, with a jersey from the previous season 2022/2023.
“I can’t handle this right now”
This is what GamerBrother says about the retro jersey of RB Leipzig: In his stream, GamerBrother was urged by his viewers to buy the jersey. In disbelief, he says, before he discovers the jersey in the shop: “I’ve read that a few times in the chat, but this can’t be true, right?”
Shortly after, GamerBrother sees the jersey, jumps up from his chair, and cannot believe what he sees on the screen. In his nearly two-minute rant, he says, visibly annoyed:
- “You have 56 professional clubs in the Bundesliga and you give a retro jersey to RB Leipzig?”
- “A retro jersey to RB Leipzig. What’s allowed in satire?”
- “I can’t handle this right now.”
And also a: “Are you kidding me?” crosses the streamer’s lips. If you want to see the full reaction, watch the video from minute 16:33.
Why is a retro jersey for Leipzig so controversial? Due to its lack of tradition and a comparatively late foundation in 2009, Leipzig has a tough time with fans in the Bundesliga.
Bundesliga supporters view the financial support of RB Leipzig’s main sponsor as particularly critical.
