In EA FC 24 ratings determine how good or bad a player is. In real life, transfer market prices indicate how desirable a professional footballer is. We take a look at the currently most expensive footballers and show you if the most valuable stars also have the best cards in Ultimate Team.
Where do the market values come from? We took the value of the individual players from the site transfermarkt.de. This site is known for being well-informed about current developments in the transfer market.
The real market value of a player is influenced by various factors. We have focused on the most obvious criteria, which are:
- Age / Development potential
- Position
- Statistics
- Achievements
Comparison of the most expensive players: How good are they in the game?
What will you find in our list? In our ranking, we first briefly introduce the position and the individual players (rank, name, age, club, positions). Below you will see their current market value and the rating range (starting from the gold card they received at the launch of EA FC 24 to the currently strongest special version). After that, we will briefly discuss statistics and achievements that contribute to their market price, before we finally take a closer look at various Ultimate Team cards of the stars.
Three players share the first place.
Place 1: Jude Bellingham, 20 (Real Madrid) – CM, CDM, CAM
- Market value: 180 million €
- Rating: 86–96
This is what makes the footballer Bellingham so valuable: Bellingham is one of the most valuable players this season. He has played 20 games and has 17 direct goal involvements (14 goals and 3 assists). Since leaving Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023, he has increased his market value by another 60 million euros. Due to his versatility, he is perhaps the most sought-after player in world football at the moment, as he can play all positions in midfield and attack.
The Englishman has yet to win major titles in his club career, narrowly missing out on the championship with Dortmund. At Real Madrid, it should only be a matter of time before he gets his first trophies.
How good is Bellingham in EA FC 24: Originally rated “only” with an overall rating of 86, his strong season can also be tracked through a Team-of-the-Week card (TOTW), Player-of-the-Month card (POTM), and especially through his Team-of-the-Year card (TOTY) in EA FC 24. In the game, his strongest version, with his Playstyle+ for the intense R1-OP dribbling, is also among the best cards. However, with a market value of around 7.5 million in the game, he does not quite reach the top spots of the most valuable cards in Ultimate Team.
Place 1: Erling Haaland, 23 (Manchester City) – ST
- Market value: 180 million €
- Rating: 91–97
This is what makes the footballer Haaland so valuable: Recently, the Norwegian world-class striker missed a few games due to a persistent injury. Nevertheless, his numbers this season are impressive. After scoring 36 goals in 35 games last season, Haaland already has more goal involvements than games this season. In 16 matches, he recorded 14 goals and 4 assists. Due to his impressive numbers, Haaland’s market value has remained stable at 180 million since the summer of 2023.
Despite his young age, the goal scorer has already won all the major trophies available in England and internationally (league title, cup, Champions League) last season. In the coming years, he will surely add more trophies to his collection.
How good is Haaland in EA FC 24: As the cover star, Haaland’s gold card with a rating of 91 has been one of the best players in the game from the start. Haaland’s true power could only be unleashed in-game with a trick, which caused his price to drop relatively quickly. By now, the powerful striker has several special cards (TOTW, Dynasties, TOTY) that mask his weakness. His TOTY belongs to the highest tier of the most expensive cards in EA FC 24 with a value of around 10 million coins, automatically making him a top-tier candidate.
Place 1: Kylian Mbappé, 25 (Paris Saint-Germain) – ST, LW, LF
- Market value: 180 million €
- Rating: 91–97
This is what makes the footballer Mbappé so valuable: Mbappé is back on track this season in Ligue 1. 24 goal involvements in 19 matches speak for themselves. Nevertheless, one cannot shake the feeling that the lightning-fast striker has not yet fully realized his potential.
If we had made our ranking four years ago, in 2020, the Frenchman would have been the undisputed number 1 among the most expensive players. Mbappé had an incredible market value of 200 million €. At only 25 years old, the wonder striker is still young but now the oldest player on our list. This, combined with the lack of club success at the international level, has caused his price to drop a bit. Nevertheless, with his skills, he rightly belongs among the most expensive players on the real transfer market.
How good is Mbappé in EA FC 24: Even the gold card has been incredibly expensive since the launch of EA FC 24 and still holds a price of around 1.8 million coins, five months post-release. His gold card is only surpassed by his numerous special cards, which indicate the strong season the Frenchman is having. A TOTW, two POTM, and a Team-of-the-Groupstage (TOTGS), which were not available for under 3.5 million coins, confirm this. His TOTY card is permanently sold out at a price of 15 million coins, which sets him apart significantly from his competitors in EA FC 24. Additionally, he has a Playstyle+ that has become even more important after the patch of another OP playstyle.
Place 2: Vinícius Junior, 23 (Real Madrid) – LW, LM, ST, CF
- Market value: 150 million €
- Rating: 89–92
This is what makes the footballer Vini Jr. so valuable: Vini Jr. has had a rapid development, making the jump to the best winger in the world over the past two years. After the departure of his striking partner Benzema, the Brazilian has come a bit more into the spotlight with opposing defenders, which he may need to get used to. A few injuries have also held him back somewhat. Nevertheless, this season he has 8 goal involvements in 14 league matches. In the Champions League, Vini Jr. has impressed in his three appearances. 2 goals and 3 assists in just 3 games are an outstanding rate.
After difficult early years at Real Madrid, he has nearly quadrupled his market value over the past three years. His collection of trophies includes Spanish championships and cup victories as well as the Champions League trophy.
How good is Vini Jr. in EA FC 24: In EA FC 24, the gold card started with a market value of over a million coins. Although its price has fallen considerably, its gold card still marks the second place (about 300,000 coins) of the most expensive gold cards in the game after Mbappé due to its still strong pace and dribbling stats. This is also due to his playstyles that make him even faster. In contrast to our first-placed players, Vini Jr. has only received a mini-TOTY and a Thunderstruck card. These versions are significantly priced lower than his competitors, which should not distract from the fact that the cards can be real game-changers in the game.
Place 3: Bukayo Saka, 22 (Arsenal FC) – RF, RM
- Market value: 120 million €
- Rating: 86–91
This is what makes the footballer Saka so valuable: Another shooting star from England. Saka seamlessly continued his strong performances from last season. 16 goal involvements in 22 matches in the Premier League are impressive. Additionally, he was directly involved in 7 goals in the Champions League. Saka’s greatest asset at such a young age is probably his fitness. In the 22/23 season, he played in all 38 league matches. Also this year, he has only missed one match and is indispensable for the Arsenal team.
In the last two years, the winger has doubled his market value. If he were to win the championship or even the European Championship 2024 this year, it wouldn’t take long for him to catch up to the four players ahead of him.
How good is Saka in EA FC 24: Like national teammate Bellingham, Saka had an overall rating of 86 at the start of EA FC 24. A TOTW, a Road-to-the-Knockouts card (RTTK), and a TOTGS card have boosted his rating somewhat. In EA FC 24, the English winger is still waiting for a card that matches his real market value. The most expensive version costs just over 800,000 coins, leaving him well behind the cards of his competitors. Unfortunately, no card of Saka has a second Playstyle+ yet.

Can the cards keep up with the real market values of the stars?
Yes, the best versions of the most valuable players not only dominate in reality but also rank among the best and most expensive cards in Ultimate Team. Only Saka cannot keep up with the prices of his competitors. He may be waiting for a really strong card in the upcoming events. He certainly deserves it.
It is noticeable, although not surprising, that all the players are found in the attacking third of the football field. One will search in vain for defenders or even goalkeepers among the most expensive football professionals. The most expensive defender is only ranked 28th, with Josko Gvardiol from Manchester City (market value: 80 million €).
A German has narrowly missed the list. Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich is in 4th place with a market value of 110 million €. Florian Wirtz, another German player from Bayer Leverkusen, follows closely behind Musiala with a price of 100 million €.
And one last interesting fact: If the current reports from transfer experts are to be believed, with Mbappé’s move from PSG to Real Madrid for the 2024/25 season, he, Bellingham, and Vini Jr. could all play together in one team, making Real Madrid’s attack worth over 500 million €. Also in Ultimate Team, the Real attack should require several million coins.
Messi has already reached his peak in real life. Nevertheless, his TOTY still belongs to the most expensive cards in the game. Some players received it as a gift.
