When does the first Weekend League start now? As EA Sports announced on Wednesday, September 27, the date of the first Weekend League in Ultimate Team has been postponed by one week.
Thus, the Weekend League, also known as UT Champions Finals, will now start on October 6, 2023.

When was UT Champions supposed to start? Originally, the first UT Champions Finals were meant to start on Friday, September 29, 2023. However, that would also be the same day that the release of the standard edition of EA FC 24 is scheduled – and thus the actual official start date of the game.
This would, however, mean a significant advantage for players who could already utilize the Early Access to qualify for the Weekend League. At the same time, this would also mean an extremely competitive first Weekend League weekend, as probably only the best players would qualify for such early finals in such a short time.
How do players react? The reactions to the tweet, so far, are mixed. Some users emphasize that this is a good decision, but it would have been better to know the correct date from the start. Others, however, complain and are upset because they had invested extra time to qualify for the Weekend League.
What is the Weekend League? Players refer to the Champions Finals as the Weekend League, which takes place only on weekends. To reach these, one must first earn UT Champions points in the Division Rivals mode to then redeem them for qualification. There, one must win a specific number of matches to participate in the finals.
