EA FC 24 is now available in Early Access, and the community immediately notices that an important feature is missing in the career mode. We will show you what it is about.
The career mode of EA Sports has received some new features, which do not revolutionize the mode but expand it with several functionalities. Now there are:
- Simplified tactics with Tactical Visions
- An own coaching staff that you can hire
- Better preparation for the next match with “Match Preparation” and “Matchday Training”
- A new camera perspective from the sidelines to watch the game like a coach
- A player agent in your player career who helps you become a superstar
Additionally, EA mentions the implementation of numerous new cutscenes that are supposed to make the career mode even more immersive. However, fans painfully miss a particularly important cutscene from previous years in the FIFA successor.
Community misses important cutscenes before kickoff
In the career mode of FIFA 23, there used to be some cutscenes shown before the start of a match. You could see fans entering the stadium, the teams coming onto the field, high-fiving each other, and finally, even the line-ups of the teams. You could also hear the respective fan chants and anthems of the teams.
The whole thing was underscored by commentators who contextualized the match.
This is missing now in EA FC 24: When you now start a match in career mode in EA FC 24, the cutscenes are significantly shorter. You do get a few impressions of the players in the dressing room, the coaches, as well as a brief look at the teams entering the field.
But there is no longer a proper entrance with commentators, handshakes, and the introduction of the line-ups.
This is what the community says: On Reddit, fans of the career mode largely express negative opinions regarding the absence of the popular cutscenes.

- areyouhungryforapple: ‘One of the biggest setbacks in recent years. They have removed so much of their own work for no reason. The scenes gave a reason to play away games to see the different fan chants, anthems, and choreographies.’
Is this just a bug? What lies behind the absence of the popular pre-match cutscenes is still unknown, as EA has not yet commented on it. However, it could very well be a bug, as some fans suspect in the official EA forum.
