In EA FC 24 there are issues with the penalty animation for some players. This bug makes it nearly impossible to convert a penalty kick.
What’s it about? In the EA forums and in the comments of some streamers, messages from the FIFA community have increasingly emerged, reporting a bug in the execution of penalties.
The normal process of the penalty animation involves a circle closing around the ball before the run-up. With the right timing, the penalty kick gains its precision; otherwise, the player risks missing the penalty with poor timing.
Unfortunately, some players cannot see any circle around the ball at all. This is currently the case for some players. In the following video, you’ll get an impression of the effects of the penalty bug.

Players are asking EA for help, but to no avail
In the video, the TikToker Itanigames explains that the problem is said to have occurred for players of the PlayStation 4 version. Next-gen consoles do not have this bug.
This is how the community reacts: Many players are upset about the penalty bug. On the official “EA Answers HQ,” the user “SternGiraffe445” complains about the bug, stating that it caused him to lose a match in the Weekend League qualification.
Among other things, he writes: “I had no circle in a WL qualification match during regular time and in the penalty shootout.” Following his complaint, the user demands compensation and requests a replacement match for the lost game (via anwers.ea.com).
Nine other players also marked under the post that they have this problem.
However, the affected players have not yet received a response from EA.

Simple change of shooter resolves the penalty problem
Here’s how you can still shoot good penalties despite the bug: Since the problem has gained increasing attention and EA has not yet presented a solution, various players have commented on the penalty bug on TikTok and found a solution.

The TikToker describes how you can still shoot precise penalties even without the circle. To do this, you change your shooter during the penalty animation and wait a second before charging your shot.
With this trick, your penalty should also hit the net even without a visible timing indicator. If the problem occurs more frequently for you, it’s best not to immediately set your best penalty shooter as the regular player to take the penalty in the settings.
If you follow the TikToker’s advice, you’ll still have to switch the player at least once before the run-up and thus only resort to the player with the best penalty stats after the switch.
