EA Sports FC 24 has received its first patch. After PC, players on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One can now download Title Update 1.
When is the update available? You can now download Title Update 1, and you must do so to use the online features of EA Sports FC 24. It was available for PC players as early as Monday, September 25. Now it’s following on the consoles.
EA Sports announced this via their Direct Communication channel (via X/Twitter):
What do the patch notes say about Title Update 1 for EA Sports FC 24?
This is what the patch notes contain: EA only addresses a single point in the patch notes for the update, which is quite vague: It is said that stability issues affecting some players will be resolved.
What exactly those issues are, however, remains unclear. Some players stated in the first few days since Early Access that they experienced problems with freezing menus. Regarding PC, some players also reported more severe problems such as crashes and login difficulties.
What specific problems the update addresses remains to be seen.
Does anything change in gameplay in EA FC 24? At least no changes are expected with this update, as no gameplay changes have been described. In the past, innovations or changes were always discussed in detail in the patch notes when they occurred.
Therefore, you can expect that the gameplay of EA FC 24 will remain unchanged at least until Title Update 2.
Overall, it is very early for the first update considering that the full release of EA FC 24 is scheduled for Friday, September 29, 2023. So far, only players who either got the 10-hour trial version with EA Play or the early access with the Ultimate Edition can enter the game.
