The error devil has struck again at EA Sports and has practically overnight changed the values of a forward in FC 24 Ultimate Team. While the offensive player had previously counted among the less interesting cards, he can now even compete with the TOTY cards at best.
This is the situation:
- On Friday, February 2nd, at 7 PM, immediately following the Team-of-the-Year promo, the next event will start, where new special cards will be released in FC 24 Ultimate Team.
- The so-called Road-to-the-Final promo includes live cards of players whose clubs are still participating in international competitions. Among the selected players for the event is the Leverkusen player Nathan Tella.
- Due to a bug, the forward was implemented in the game too early, causing his current silver card in UT players’ clubs to be transformed into the new special version. Additionally, he is already available in packs.
You should definitely search your club. With a bit of luck, you pulled the player from Bayer in the past and can now enjoy a reinforcement for your team.
EA Sports’ error makes Nathan Tella from Bayer Leverkusen one of the strongest cards in FC 24 – but not everyone is lucky
This makes the error even crazier: In fact, not all players who had the young talent lying around in their club benefit from the same card, as there are already two different versions of the 24-year-old in the virtual trading card game – one with English and one with Nigerian nationality.
Since the forward of the Bundesliga club has dual citizenship, EA Sports released a new version after his call-up to the Nigerian national team. Since this is the more recent version, the unexpected upgrade only affects all silver cards with the Nigerian flag.
But it goes even further. Those who had already upgraded the Nigerian version of Nathan Tella using an evolution in FC 24 have received a significantly improved version compared to the standard RTTF card, which even competes with the recently released TOTYs with its stats.
The improved version of the right winger has a 98 rating and can even be used in attack due to his additional positions. With 99 pace, 96 shooting, 98 passing, and 98 dribbling, Tella suddenly ranks among the best cards in all of Ultimate Team.
After the scandal regarding the Team-of-the-Year card of Lionel Messi, EA Sports has now accidentally awarded another strong card to part of the community in a very short time.
It remains to be seen whether the publisher will correct the mistake in this case and retract the unintentional upgrades, or if the lucky players will be allowed to keep the card.
