Ubisoft will traditionally hold a press conference at this year’s gaming fair E3. As part of the big show Ubisoft Forward, there will be news about existing and new games from the publisher. MeinMMO summarizes what is currently known about this event and what fans can expect.
What is Ubisoft Forward? The E3 2021 is about to start – one of the most important video game fairs of the year. This time, the fair takes place from Saturday, June 12th to Tuesday, June 15th – in purely digital form. During this time, various well-known game developers will hold their press conferences.
The big publisher Ubisoft is also traditionally part of the event, which has numerous huge franchises like Rainbow Six, Far Cry, Ghost Recon, Assassin’s Creed, and The Division in its portfolio. During the Ubisoft Forward show, new games are set to be unveiled and news about ongoing games will be presented. Additionally, some surprises from Ubisoft have also been promised.

When does Ubisoft Forward take place? The big Ubisoft show will take place on the evening of June 12th in 3 parts:
- There will be a pre-show starting at 8:00 PM German time
- The main event, i.e. the actual press conference by Ubisoft, will start at 9:00 PM
- There will be an aftershow starting at 10:00 PM

What will be shown at the Ubi Forward press conference?
Ubisoft itself speaks of various content like information on fan favorites, new announcements, and a few surprises. The following is currently known:
Pre-Show: There will be news on
- For Honor
- Trackmania
- The Crew 2
- Brawlhalla
- Watch Dogs: Legion
- and more

Main Event: Here, the major announcements will take place, updates for large ongoing titles will be presented, and some surprises will be sprinkled in. Among other things, you can expect:
- the new coop shooter Rainbow Six Extraction (previously Quarantine) will be introduced. Players can expect exclusive gameplay and trailer world premieres
- fresh details on the new open-world shooter Far Cry 6 will be presented here
- the extreme sports multiplayer game Riders Republic will finally get more attention again
- some surprises
Moreover, there will be news on existing titles such as
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- and Rainbow Six Siege
There will also be news about
- the “Apple TV+” series Mythic Quest
- as well as the upcoming movie Werewolves Within
by Ubisoft Film & Television.
Post-Show: Here you can expect among other things:
- a community briefing from the Rainbow Six Siege community team
- deeper insights into announced content from the main event
- some more revelations – for example, streamer talismans, a community artist package, or “Sixth Guardian” charity package partnerships
Rumors: Currently, there is a rumor that one of the announced surprises could be a new team-based, competitive first-person shooter named BattleCat.
The alleged PvP game is said to bridge three major franchises from Ubisoft (Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, and The Division) and play in the style of Overwatch. A recently surfaced leak suggests that Ubisoft is already working on the title and may announce it during E3 2021.

Additionally, the following speculations about the Ubi Forward press conference are circulating:
- A new DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla could be announced
- We might finally get first details on the mysterious big update for Ghost Recon Breakpoint planned for the end of 2021
- Some also hope for the announcement of a new Splinter Cell – even though there are no concrete signs for that yet
Bad news for fans of The Division
This might disappoint some: Those who were hoping for news regarding The Division will unfortunately be left disappointed at this year’s E3. There will be no fresh details concerning new content for The Division 2, nor for the new free-to-play shooter The Division: Heartland. This was announced by the responsible development teams on Twitter prior to E3:
