The main news from Ubisoft’s press conference
Overall, Ubisoft’s press conference is well-received and shines with gameplay. Something that was rather rare across E3 2019. Here are the highlights:
Watch Dogs Legion
What was announced about Watchdogs 3: The third installment of the series is called Watch Dogs Legion. The setting is London and takes place after Brexit. Here, a totalitarian government has taken over the city, and the hacker group DedSec rises up.
According to the Ubisoft store, Watch Dogs Legion will offer co-op missions for up to four players alongside the campaign.
The gameplay looks impressive in the trailer:
Mythic Quest: Ravens Banquet
What is Mythic Quest: Ravens Banquet? Ubisoft, in collaboration with the “Always Sunny in Philadelphia” crew, is making a comedy series about the biggest (fictional) MMO in the world – Mythic Quest: Ravens Banquet.
The announcement came as a complete surprise to the press conference. Here, MMO culture, players, and developers are humorously criticized.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine
What was announced about Rainbow Six Quarantine: Quarantine wants to be the new mega-hit PvE shooter. In three-player teams, players dive into the fight against mutated alien parasites. Quarantine is set in the same universe as Siege.
A first trailer was shown:
Ghost Recon Breakpoint
What was announced about Ghost Recon Breakpoint: Ubisoft announced a lot of things about Ghost Recon Breakpoint. However, most of them were still quite vague. It was mentioned that they want to work closely with the community and that the content is planned for the coming years. AI companions are also expected to return.
The Division 2
What was announced about The Division 2: Ubisoft presented the upcoming roadmap for The Division 2, and it looks quite substantial.
- The next DLC is titled D.C. Outskirts: Expeditions
- There will be a total of three story DLCs in the first year
- The third and final episode will take the agents back to the origin of the plague – to New York in early 2020
It was also officially announced at the press conference that a Division film will be realized for the streaming platform Netflix.
