It looks like Dylan, the new game from EA and BioWare, will make its appearance at E3. The game is expected to be shown to the public for the first time there. It is considered Electronic Arts’ answer to Destiny and The Division.
There are currently many myths and rumors surrounding the project “Dylan”. The codename Dylan is said to refer to the game because it should be like “Bob Dylan”, something that will be talked about for decades.
The game is being developed by BioWare Edmonton – allegedly for 4 years now. This is the team that was behind the original Mass Effect trilogy. Allegedly, “Codename Dylan” is BioWare’s biggest project of all time.
BioWare Semi-MMO planned for 2018/2019
It is now known that Dylan is expected to be released sometime between April 2018 and May 2019. This has been confirmed by EA.
It looks like it will be a “Semi-MMO”, similar to Destiny or The Division. The game is expected to be a science fiction and action game – even more parallels to Destiny. Dylan is set to become a new brand, a new IP, with a focus on live service, meaning how the game evolves after release. The multiplayer aspects are also expected to be in focus.
Reveal likely Saturday evening at E3 2017
A reveal at E3 2017 is highly likely. Now, the head of BioWare Edmonton, Aaryn Flynn, has fueled these rumors even further. He posted this. A photo of Bob Dylan.

The EA livestream – probably featuring Dylan – will kick off the E3 press conferences. On Saturday, June 10 at 9 PM, we will know more. Then we should at least get screenshots of the game and finally know more. It is time for the curtain to rise on Dylan.
