Dying Light 2: Update 1.3.0 – “Patch Notes” Highlights
How does New Game+ work? After you have completed Dying Light 2 once, you can start New Game+ and it is more than just a second playthrough.
The developers have introduced some new features so that the second round feels different: enemies behave slightly differently, everything is a bit more challenging, and there are new objects to find in the world. In addition:
- 30 new inhibitor containers
- Platinum difficulty in parkour challenges
- New distribution of zombie enemies
- Additional loot tier for legendaries
- Random gold encounters
- Enemy difficulty scales with level
What events are there? In the future, Dying Light 2 will feature several events that grant you gameplay or loot bonuses, as you would typically see in larger MMOs:
- April 28 – May 3: Double XP
- More experience points for battles and parkour
- May 5 – May 9: Trove of Crystals
- You get better crystals when collecting
- May 12 – May 16: Blue Moon
- More immunity at night and more chemical resistance
- May 19 – May 23: Hyper Mode
- Zombies fly around from your actions like crazy
With this, you have almost the entire May filled with active modifiers that influence your looting or gameplay, providing some variety.
What’s the new quest? There is a new quest called “Mutated Infected”. Throughout the quest, you will encounter the hefty “Goon” enemies in special elemental variants.
What else is there to know? The majority of the patch notes consisted of bug fixes. A long list of fixed bugs and removed issues. If you want to take a look at the English patch notes for yourself, you can find them here (via dyinglightgame.com).
