About 2 months ago, Dying Light 2 was released, and the developers are still working diligently on the action-adventure. The next big update has now been announced, set to arrive at the end of April and brings a major feature that the community has been eagerly requesting: New Game+.
The zombie game Dying Light 2 is expected to receive ongoing development and content updates for a long time to come. The developers have announced up to 5 years of support, always considering the community’s wishes.
On the Dying Light 2 Discord channel, an announcement has been made that one of the biggest wishes will be fulfilled later this month – New Game+. What we already know about the update and how things will progress with Dying Light 2, we will show you on MeinMMO.
“One of the biggest updates so far” is coming in April
When is the update coming? There is no specific date yet, but the so-called “Patch 3” is expected to arrive at the end of the month for all platforms.
What’s included in the update? The developers are only talking about a few contents but provide a small outlook:
- “New Game+” mode
- Bug fixes in single-player mode
- Bug fixes in co-op mode
Whether further contents are planned can only be speculated at this time. However, since the developers are speaking of a major update, it’s quite possible that the list will get longer.
The complete patch notes will only be available with the release of “Patch 3”.
Why is “New Game+” so in demand? After the release, a New Game+ was among the biggest wishes of the players. In a “New Game+,” you restart the game but keep your character progress from a save file with a completed story.
The difficulty increases, and there are many players for whom Dying Light 2 thus offers a higher replay value.
Since the release, this feature has been one of the top requests from the community. At the time, the ragdoll physics of the zombies was at the top – this problem was already addressed in another update.
When Dying Light 2 gave away its first DLC, New Game+ continued to be a priority for the players. In addition, bug fixes, higher difficulty levels, and manual saving are among the biggest wishes.
What’s next for Dying Light 2? In April, there should be some events, and in June, the first story DLC. We are including the roadmap here:
With the “New Game+” mode, some fans will now have something to do. What concrete content awaits you in the future is still unknown.
If you are still wandering in the zombie-infested open world, you can find many of the hidden safes here: Dying Light 2: Locations of all safes with codes – Here you can find strong loot
Is New Game+ also important to you, or do you wish for something else from the developers? Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion on the topic.
