Priest

- Weapons: one-handed swords, staves, orbs, one-handed maces
- Race: Human – more inventory space
The priest is the healer in Dungeonborne. When playing with friends, it is almost essential to have a priest on your team so that you can achieve victory in battles against other groups.
However, as a loner, the priest is almost useless. He has no abilities that help him to deal damage to an opponent in combat. Moreover, he has nothing to assist him in making an escape.
Rogue

- Weapons: one-handed swords, daggers, crossbows
- Race: Human – more inventory space
The rogue is a master of stealth and can become invisible for 15 seconds. Armed with two daggers, he can stab enemies in the back, causing devastating damage. This class is well-suited for lone players who enjoy sneaking and assassinating.
Although the rogue doesn’t take much damage, he can escape well because his attributes are based on agility, which also grants him increased movement speed. Additionally, he disappears quickly thanks to invisibility. In a team, creative positioning is necessary since an open fight is not in the rogue’s interest.
Pyromancer

- Weapons: one-handed swords, daggers, staves, orbs
- Race: Human – more inventory space
The pyromancer is a stereotypical wizard. With his fire spells, he tries to deal damage to enemies from a distance and has arguably the best AOE in the game. Additionally, he can float for a short period.
As a solo fighter but also in a team, the pyromancer is a good ranged all-round class, suitable for both beginners and advanced players. The only downside is the long cooldown time of his abilities, making him vulnerable to mobile classes.
Death Knight

- Weapons: one-handed swords, two-handed swords, crossbows, shields, one-handed maces
- Race: Undead – Soul energy that enhances abilities
The death knight is primarily a melee fighter, yet his abilities target all within range. His damage is significantly determined by the available soul energy, which is gained by defeating monsters.
The death knight is very strong in melee combat because he can pull his enemies closer and deal damage or debuffs to all those nearby. As long as the death knight has soul energy, he welcomes any duel.
Cryomancer

- Weapons: one-handed swords, daggers, staves, orbs
- Race: Undead – Soul energy that enhances abilities
The cryomancer is well-suited for experienced players. With his ice abilities, he aims to have his opponents chase him while dealing damage from a safe distance and recharging his abilities.
This class is very effective in groups, as it can slow down enemies, while still having good survival chances thanks to abilities like Frost Barrier (an ice block that negates all damage) and Ice Armor (slows down melee attackers).
Swordmaster

- Weapons: one-handed swords, two-handed swords, crossbows, shields
- Race: Elf – Invisible when crouched and without movement
The swordmaster is a good choice for all solo players who find the fighter too boring. Without heavy armor, but with more striking power and especially much speed. A peculiarity is that the class requires a bunch of one-handed swords to execute its abilities.
The class is not well suited for teams; instead, it is aimed at solo players thanks to good opportunities to chase down opponents. The abilities summon swords that attack enemies or circle the player to keep foes at bay.
Druid

- Weapons: daggers, one-handed maces, staves, orbs
- Race: Elf – Invisible when crouched and without movement
The druid is probably the most difficult class in the game. He is half elf, half panther, and can switch between the two forms. Additionally, he summons a treant that attacks nearby enemies and provides the player with a shield.
This class has high burst damage in panther form and can fight both in melee and ranged combat. Defensively, the class is not as good because it relies on the treant.
Dungeonborne has made a strong start on Steam not only because of its variety of classes but has also convinced many players. The game is doing even better than what is likely the most anticipated MMORPG of 2024: A free role-playing game overtakes the hottest new MMORPG on Steam in no time
