On September 9, 2025, Chapter 2 and the DLC Lost Harvest for Dune: Awakening were released. MeinMMO reveals where you can start the two new quest lines.
Where do I start the new, free quest line of Chapter 2? We received the quest “Noble Duties” through a short in-game sequence as we approached the trading post “The Anvil” with our character. This sent our Harkonnen to Harko Village, where we were to speak with Elara Tuek.
It is quite possible that the quest can also be started at any other trading post or in the capitals. The follow-up quest “Speak with the Lead Investigator” then took us to Arrakeen.
To continue the main story of Dune: Awakening, you must have played through Chapter 1, of course. An important part of the first chapter is the completion of 8 trials of the Aql, the solutions to which you can find in our guide.
Tip: Bring a scanner along for the first quests. You will need it for your investigations. Also, you should possess an Ornithopter, as the new adventure will later lead you into the deep desert.
Start of the new quest from the DLC “Lost Harvest”
Where do I start the new quest line of the DLC? You can only get it if you have purchased the new DLC “Lost Harvest”. However, it only appeared for us when we had set up a new base in the Hagga Basin – the old one was gone due to a longer break.
As soon as we laid down the ground, walls, and ceilings of our new base, we received a distress signal for the quest “The Fall of the Mithra”. This leads you to the crash site of the eponymous Harvesters in the Western Vermillius Rift.
Simply head northwest from the “Griffin’s Reach Trading Post”. Upon reaching the destination, you will meet NPCs who will provide you with the first follow-up task.
What else do I need to know about the new update? The DLC and the update to Chapter 2 have much more to offer than just these quest lines. There are new class armor sets, dynamic events in the Hagga Basin, missions in the social hub, and more.
