What is Dual Universe? Dual Universe is an ambitious space MMO sandbox developed by Novaquark. The highlight of Dual Universe is clearly the walkable world where you can explore countless planets. Additionally, the entire economy is based on players’ actions, and thanks to the modified Unity engine and voxel graphics, you can build almost anything yourself.
This applies to buildings as well as to spaceships. So look forward to crazy creations with which you can zoom through the universe, gather resources, or take out other players.
Moreover, many players should be able to gather together on one server and conduct their businesses in real-time.
When does the beta start? Today, on Thursday, August 27, 2020, the big beta of Dual Universe starts. By the time this news is published, the game should already be playable.
How can you participate in the beta? The developers have intentionally chosen against a Free2Play model and opted for a paid subscription for Dual Universe. Only backers of the alpha version can access the beta for free. The rest must get a subscription that costs 6.99 euros per month. On the official Dual Universe website, you can sign up and subscribe.
What happens in the beta? In the beta, the gameplay focuses primarily on space, where epic battles can take place. Ground combat is not yet present. The beta will run until the release in 2021 and will end with a final wipe.
