The comparison to Fallout 4 – What is different?

Clearly, Fallout 76 will offer significantly more perks: Currently, we do not know how many perks will make it into the final version of Fallout 76. However, comparing the numbers of the currently known cards with the perks from Fallout 4, it seems that there could be significantly more.

This is how the perks were structured in Fallout 4: In Fallout 4, there were 10 fixed perks for each of the SPECIAL attributes that you could level up. These were set as soon as you invested skill points in them.

Already over 14 Charisma perks have been shown, and there are likely still more. One can assume that the numbers will be balanced between the SPECIAL values. Thus, each attribute will likely receive about the same number of perk cards.

Advantage for Fallout 76 through the cards? The card system of Fallout 76 is, at least it seems, significantly more flexible and offers you more combinations. In addition, there will likely be a significantly wider range of abilities.

How the SPECIAL system works in conjunction with the perks can be read here.

Ammunition gets weight

One of the survival aspects: Ammunition will have weight and thus affect inventory management. This is evidenced by the perk Bandolier, which reduces the weight of ballistic ammunition by 90%.

In previous Fallout installments, ammunition always had no impact on your inventory, and players could hoard as much of it as they wanted.

This option already existed in Fallout 4: The survival mode of Fallout 4 already offered the possibility for hardcore players, and apparently this will also be carried over to Fallout 76. How difficult it will be to obtain ammunition remains to be seen.

By the time of the B.E.T.A of Fallout 76, we will know how this all plays out in practice. We are definitely looking forward to more perks.
