Many gaming influencers are currently trying out Only Up!, a game available for €9 on Steam. Also, the “Two-Time,” a legendary player who won major tournaments in NBA Jam 30 years ago and now streams on YouTube as “DrDisrespect,” is trying his hand at the game. He makes it clear: Now it’s personal.
Who is this?
- Guy Beahm plays the character “DrDisrespect,” who claims to have won two tournaments at the video rental chain Blockbuster 30 years ago. He loves to recount how he dominated NBA Jam in ’93 and ’94 with Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp.
- Now DrDisrespect is 41 and is living his life on YouTube, after being banned from paradise.

Why is it personal for DrDisrespect? The self-proclaimed super gamer showed a clip on June 26 where he crashes and falls into the void, bashing the controller wildly and hitting the ground, looking desperate.
Afterwards, he asked his viewers: “Uninstall or beat the game?” 58% of his viewers wanted to see him jump and curse again.
He initiated his new attempt at “Only Up!” with the following words (via twitter):
This pathetic low-budget $9 joke of a game thinks I can’t do it. WRONG. I will beat Only Up! today. That’s a personal guarantee.

DrDisrespect fails, merrily teasing TimTheTatman
Update June 29, 5:50 PM: How did it end? DrDisrespect struggled with “Only Up!” for about 5 hours. The last fall was so severe that he gave up and logged off.
He then immediately visited his friend TimTheTatman, who was also struggling with the game.
DrDisrespect celebrated his friend’s final fall for several minutes, saying, “You didn’t get it. You should feel bad. In your place, I would take a long break from gaming” and played a little shooter before ending the stream.
