The first tournaments in the battle royale shooter Apex Legends are underway. In “Code Red” by streamer DrDisrespect, the prize was $20,000, and once again Ninja was the winner. He had strong support from shooting star Dizzy.
This is behind Code Red: The Twitch streamer DrDisrespect, with the support of partners like BoomTV and Esports Arena, has been hosting his own tournaments for a while now.
Code Red is a series of invitation tournaments: DrDisrespect invites top players from competitive battle royale games like Fortnite, Call of Duty Blackout, or Apex Legends to compete against each other. The tournament series is quite popular on Twitch.

This time, in Code Red for Apex Legends, the prize was $20,000. Eight teams competed against each other. However, they did not face each other directly; instead, they played in public matches against “normal opponents.”
In each round, every team completed three matches and thus faced a team that also played three other matches.
The teams tried to score as many points as possible in their games. There were 8 points for a win and 1 point per kill.

These were the famous streamers in the tournament: Among the 8 three-player teams were some of the most popular streamers on Twitch, who had already made a name for themselves in other shooters before arriving in Apex Legends:
- Summit1G teamed up with JoshOG and Buhbye
- Fortnite star HighDistortion was joined by Tennop0 and wantedow
- DrDisrespect himself participated in the tournament with RealKraftyy and TSM-Viss
- Ninja teamed up with dizzy and KingRichard – this trio had already won the 1st official tournament in Apex Legends
Dizzy dominates again, brings Ninja’s team to victory
This is how the tournament played out: The teams did not compete directly against each other. But once again, there was no stopping the only 18-year-old Dizzy.
In the semifinals, Ninja’s team won with 116 to 66 points against DrDisrespect’s team. Dizzy stood out with 44 kills (Ninja 26, Kingrichard 22).
In the finals, the team won 92-56, again against DrDisrespect’s team. Once again, Dizzy was superior with 48 kills.
DrDisrespect’s team had won the “Loser’s Bracket” and also had a great tournament overall, but in the indirect matchup against Ninja, Dizzy, and Kingrichard, they had no luck.
Ninja’s team secured $12,000 in prize money. Dr Disrespect and his team went home with $5,000.
This is a bit spicy: When Ninja won the first tournament with the help of Dizzy, DrDisrespect took a little jab at Ninja. He claimed to have played with friends – a hint that Ninja had won with the previously unknown “Dizzy”.
Even DrDisrespect’s fans commented that Ninja had been dragged to the tournament victory by “Dizzy”.
In the past, DrDisrespect has often complained live during streams about things related to Ninja, even if the two probably have a collegial respect for each other.
Ninja seems quite happy to have the “young prodigy” of Apex Legends on his side.
DrDisrespect and Ninja are currently the big names on Twitch, but Dizzy seems to be dominating Apex Legends:
