The switch of Twitch streamers Ninja and Shroud to the competitor Mixer is still a topic of discussion in the community. DrDisrespect has a clear opinion: he would never switch to Mixer.
This is the topic: In early August, the biggest streamer on Twitch, Ninja, caused a big surprise. He switched streaming platforms and has since only been seen on Mixer.
Shroud is now doing the same. The “human Aimbot” can now also be seen on Mixer and is turning his back on Twitch. The owner of Mixer, Microsoft, has secured the rights to both streamers with deals and ensured that they appear on their platform.
Another big Twitch star, DrDisrespect, cannot understand these steps. He says that Mixer cannot buy viewers and that he would never switch.
“I have twice as many viewers as Ninja”
This is how he starts the topic: In his chat, a fan brings up the topic and suggests that he should also switch to Mixer. DrDisrespect responds directly and says: “I would never switch to Mixer. Trust me. It’s dumb.”
He then explains why. The streamer says: “At the moment they [Mixer] probably have around 40 to 50,000 simultaneous viewers on the entire platform. Twitch, on the other hand, has about 1.5 million simultaneous viewers.”
After this statement, DrDisrespect becomes even more direct and attacks Mixer:
I have twice as many viewers as Ninja, and I am still in my intro! Reality check, these moves do nothing for the platform. You cannot pay for a community, you cannot buy viewers – they are right here! The Twitch community is built!

What does DrDisrespect mean by that? By the moves he refers to, he means the switches of Ninja and Shroud. He says that while Microsoft can bring in the big personalities with contracts, the many viewers of them remain with Twitch. Especially because there is such a great community there.
Is the streamer right about that? Currently, Mixer is still significantly smaller than Twitch. Even the streams of the big personalities do not reach as many viewers as they do on Twitch.

Nevertheless, it must be said that Mixer is currently growing and developing. The real big fans of Ninja and Shroud are also watching them on Mixer. For example, Ninja has more subscribers there than he did on Twitch.
Also, big streamers like MontanaBlack have not ruled out a switch to Mixer. Likewise, Microsoft can lure more top streamers to Mixer, and then everything looks different, because Twitch is also under criticism. For example, they might treat some streamers unfairly and make incomprehensible bans.
What do you think? Do you support DrDisrespect and his arguments that Mixer cannot buy viewers?
