In a crossover, players explore issues from Dragon’s Dogma Online that don’t quite fit into the world.
In recent years, so-called “crossovers” have become increasingly popular in many games. To promote each other a little, developers simply import particularly prominent features from another game – of course, with the blessing of the respective developer. Fans are excited to showcase cool gear or gimmicks, and if the developers’ plan works, new players become interested in the other game.
Dragon’s Dogma Online is now jumping on this bandwagon and is hosting a corresponding event in October. Various characters and costumes from the anime-style RPG “Persona 5” (by Atlus, who also developed Catherine ) appear in the medieval world of DDO. There are a number of quests to solve, all with a mysterious background – these are also clear references to the typical mystery setting of Persona.
Currently, Dragon’s Dogma Online is only available in Japan but will soon launch in Taiwan as well. European fans have not yet given up hope that the game will one day come to us.
