Dragon’s Dogma 2 is coming soon to Steam and is the sequel to the popular and critically acclaimed role-playing game Dragon’s Dogma, which first launched in 2012 on PS2 and Xbox 360. Now, a trailer once again shows why the sequel is already considered a major RPG hope for 2024.
Why is it an RPG hope? Dragon’s Dogma 2 is an action role-playing game by Capcom, which will be released on March 22, 2024, on Steam, PS5, and Xbox.
Although the role-playing game can function without co-op, it offers many features that should particularly excite RPG fans:
- A large, open world consisting of two nations with an interesting fantasy setting
- Free customization of your character, including appearance, class, equipment, etc.
- Three AI-controlled companions who assist you in battling various enemies, monsters, and dragons
- Exciting battles against tough opponents, in which you even have to incorporate your surroundings
How good the battles in Dragon’s Dogma 2 will look is shown in a new trailer, which not only sparks excitement among fans but also introduces a new class:
What does the trailer show? The trailer gives you nearly 2 minutes of gameplay featuring various enemies, starting with a fight against a powerful dragon. As shown in the trailer, you have the opportunity to jump onto the dragon and attack it from its back.
In Dragon’s Dogma 2, you not only attack your enemies head-on but also utilize your surroundings and the opponents’ weaknesses.
This is also evident in another part of the trailer, which shows a wizard creating an impressive and visually stunning ice wall to block an incoming attack. Afterward, he uses the half-destroyed ice wall as a ramp and attacks his opponent from above.
New class becomes a multitasker in combat
This is especially interesting due to the new class introduced in the trailer. In English, it is called “Warfarer” and is a true multitasker in the game. It can use all weapons and abilities of other classes and switch between them fluidly in combat. As the trailer shows, this offers you plenty of opportunities to gain the upper hand in battles.
What are the reactions? Fans and players express their excitement in the comments under the trailer (via YouTube), not only looking forward to the release in March but are especially thrilled about the new class.
