The character editor in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is extremely extensive and was available even before the release. As in most RPGs, helmets and headgear hide the faces of your carefully designed characters. Whether you can hide them can be read here.
Can helmets be hidden? Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to hide headgear in Dragon’s Dogma 2. If you want to see your character’s face, you have to choose a helmet that is open at the front. If you want to see the whole head, you unfortunately have to do without headgear entirely.
Can headgear simply be omitted in the game? Helmets and headgear of all kinds usually have important functions, stats, and are quest-relevant. Therefore, you cannot simply take them off and walk around completely without them.

Is a hiding function in progress? Currently, it is still not known whether Capcom will introduce a hiding function. In fact, it has become common in RPGs to be able to hide headgear.
Games like Baldur’s Gate 3 or the story-driven Final Fantasy XIV show the player character with very detailed facial expressions. This is important for immersion. Of course, not all players hide headgear for that. However, it is assumed that most players want to see the results of their hours of work in the character editor.
