At Dragon Nest , the publisher for the EU version is changing. It’s moving from a company based in Germany to one based in Shanghai.
For a long time, Dragon Nest in Europe was managed by Shanda Games International Europe. They are located in Berlin and are part of the Chinese publisher Shanda Interactive. Now, Cherry Credits from Singapore is taking over. They have been managing the Southeast Asian version of Dragon Nest since 2011 – and are also part of the Shanda company group, as is the game’s developer Eyedentity Games.
Casually speaking, from the outside it seems: The Chinese parent company is taking the game away from its German subsidiary and handing it over to the one from Singapore.
The change is set to take place on March 16, when the “Machina” class will also be released in Europe.

As Shanda Games assures, not much will change for the players. The server and client will remain the same, only the publisher is changing. A FAQ regarding the publisher change has been prepared.
The shift comes just weeks after a server crash caused quite a stir among Dragon Nest players. Important game data was lost. Whether the upcoming change has anything to do with that remains unknown.
At Shanda, they say: We had a great run. Our team was never very large, but we always gave our best. Unfortunately, our story ends here.
The story of Dragon Nest EU continues.
