The YouTuber Kaizen AI specializes in recreating images from Dragon Ball Z with the help of artificial intelligence. He uses a realistic style and shows how the characters would look with real human facial features.
What does the real Son-Goku look like? The YouTuber captured the moment when Son-Goku first transforms into the threefold Super Saiyan (SSJ3) during his fight against Majin Boo. The image shows the glowing aura that surrounds the Saiyan during the transformation.
During the transformation, Son-Goku gets extremely long blonde hair. The AI also took this detail into account. However, instead of the anime face, the artificial intelligence gave the fighter a real face (via YouTube, Kaizen AI):
However, the face has little to do with Son-Goku: The Saiyan has a three-day beard in the picture, which Son-Goku normally does not have in the anime. Additionally, the Saiyan in the image retains his eyebrows, which are actually lost during the transformation to SSJ3.
Furthermore, the hair seems to float in the air only because the aura around Son-Goku is so strong. In the anime, it appears as if Son-Goku used extra strong hairspray, as the hair sticks up even without the aura.
We therefore believe that the Super Saiyan 3 resembles more of a model than a real fighter.

What is the Super Saiyan 3?
- This level can only be reached by those who have previously achieved SSJ and SSJ2 and have trained hard for years.
- The first Saiyan to demonstrate this level in the anime is Son-Goku. Gotenks, the fusion of Son-Goten and Trunks, remains the second and last Saiyan in the anime to transform into an SSJ3.
- The Saiyans suddenly get a massive, blonde mane on their heads. In return, they lose their eyebrows.
- In return, the eyebrow area slightly protrudes, and the expression becomes darker than usual.
- The SSJ3 was rarely seen in the anime. Even rarer was the appearance of the Saiyan power.
However, the Super Saiyan 3 could have looked very different. Akira Toriyama created an original design for the SSJ3 that did not make it into the anime. It would have looked much more like the previous transformations.
Unfortunately, the Super Saiyan 3 is rarely seen in Dragon Ball. There is a good reason for that: It costs too much Ki (No, not AI!) to keep it running. It is simply not made for this world.
