In the final game, the selection is quite meager. While Vegeta and Goku have many skins, most consist only of damaged clothing. The accessories also leave much to be desired. Often, they are just Scouters or glasses. Many other characters have no options for visual customization at all.
In another reddit thread, this lack is criticized, as there are even alternative costumes in the episode mode, but these cannot be used as customization options in other modes.
Does Dragon Ball have many skin options? Yes, even if you ignore the alternative designs from Toriyama, there have been many scenes in the series where characters wore different clothing.
