In the 90s and 2000s, there were numerous animes that aired on the television channel RTL2. For many, it was part of the routine to immerse themselves in their favorite series after school, kindergarten, or work. MeinMMO wants to clarify with a survey which RTL2 anime is the most popular in our community.
RTL2 had something for everyone’s taste. Whether it was warrior women in wedding dresses or a hamster gang, the television channel offered a variety of animes. Some series like Dragon Ball and Pokémon have gained worldwide fame, but there were also smaller shows like DoReMi or Flint Hammerhead that found their fans.
Our colleagues from GamePro have compiled a list of which animes actually aired on RTL2. In the overview, you can discover all the series that were on the television channel in the 90s and 2000s.
Even though other TV channels like Tele 5 or MTV had their own animes, RTL2 was the biggest hub for the anime community at that time.
For an anime to count in the survey, it must have been aired at a specific time on RTL2’s television program. We are only considering series for this survey, so movies like The Last Unicorn or Princess Mononoke do not count.
