In the lighthouse of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there is a puzzle that opens a hidden room. We will show you how the statues on site relate to this and how to solve the puzzle.
Attention, Spoiler! This relates to a puzzle that occurs very early in the game. However, if you want to start the game completely fresh, it’s best to click on another article now.
What kind of puzzle is it? Shortly after the start of the game, you will arrive at the lighthouse. This is the central hub of the game, where you can talk to your companions and definitely should.
Additionally, you can improve your gear and start quests here. There are a variety of rooms where your companions reside, but also mysterious rooms that are initially locked.
One of those is the music room, which only opens after solving a puzzle. To do this, you need to find some statues in the level and turn them in the correct direction. You can read how to do this here.
Finding Statues and Solving the Puzzle
What is the significance of the statues? You may have noticed some statues during your walk through the area. You’ll encounter them throughout the game, but there are six in the lighthouse. You need to find three pairs that should look at each other.
The First Statues
You will find the first pair above the exit to the outside. Take the stairs up and you will encounter the statues. Turn them around until they look at each other.
The Second Statues
Continue and find the first statue of the second pair behind Bellara’s room. Its counterpart is located a bit below, by Neve’s room. Turn these two towards each other as well.
To reach the statue below Neve’s room, walk towards it on the large middle path, but take the steps down, not the ones up to it. You do not need to sneak along the side of the tower and jump down.
The Third Statues
The first statue of the third pair can be found at the staircase you take to reach pair 1, above the entrance. Directly opposite on the other side of the area is its counterpart. Walk past Lucaris’s room by the kitchen on the right and find the statue. Proceed as you did with the others.
Thus, the puzzle is solved and you can unlock the secret music room.
Unlocking the Music Room
Where is the music room located? Enter the lighthouse and keep to the right. There is a now illuminated, round entrance that leads to the music room. Before you solve the puzzle, the wall will not open.
Upon entering the music room, you will find chests with 400 gold, a codex entry, and crystals. But that’s not all.
What else is there? If you have reached story chapter 8 and found Taash and Emmrich, a will-o’-the-wisp will appear at the location where the first statues are. Take it with you and go to the music room.
The will-o’-the-wisp will open another passage, behind which a magical portal awaits you. If you step through, you will reach the balcony on the floor above the entrance hall.
