Throughout the story of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you must choose between the two cities Minrathous and Treviso. MeinMMO explains the consequences of each decision.
Warning, spoilers! This article contains a decision that you will face after recruiting the Grey Warden Davrin. If you do not want to know anything more about it until you are ready, you should close the article now.
What decision is it about? Once you have recruited Davrin during the main story, you return to the crossroads. There, you will be greeted by Neve and Lucanis with bad news: Minrathous and Treviso are both threatened by dragons.
Unfortunately, your resources are limited, and you can only save one of the two cities. The other will fall victim to corruption.

Save Treviso or Minrathous? Here are the respective consequences
The consequences are fundamentally the same for both cities:
- One city is saved, the other is overrun by corruption.
- You will fight one dragon each.
- The respective local NPC will not be available as a companion for a while.
- When he returns, he will have the status
hardened
. It becomes harder to increase their approval for you. Moreover, he can no longer use supportive abilities such as healing or buffs. However, some offensive abilities are stronger.
- When he returns, he will have the status
- The merchant of the faction of the destroyed city disappears.
- The approval of the faction can only be raised to level 2 instead of 3.
- Winning approval will also become harder.
- You can no longer complete a quest belonging to the respective city.
You save Minrathous
If you choose to save Minrathous, Treviso will be destroyed. Here you will fight the corrupted fire dragon Seartooth Vyrantus

While Neve’s approval for you increases, Lucanis will disappear for a while to help his destroyed homeland.
You save Treviso
If you support Treviso, Minrathous will fall. You will face the corrupted ice dragon Corius the Icetalon

Lucanis will be incredibly grateful to you. In return, Neve will temporarily leave your group to help rebuild Minrathous.
Decision aid – How should you decide?
Of course, we cannot tell you which of the two cities to choose. That is up to you. However, we would like to give you two points to consider:
Who do you want to romance? The NPC whose homeland lies in ruins will be understandably upset. He or she will not blame you, but raising their approval will become complicated. A romance may even be impossible.
If you have fallen for Neve, you should save Minrathous. Conversely, if you want to woo Lucanis, you should protect Treviso.
We had selected all romance options in advance and always assured her of support after the fall of Minrathous as well as having her almost permanently with us as an NPC companion. After the battle in Weisshaupt, we were finally able to continue the romance.
Which faction do you prefer? Similar to the companions, the same goes for the factions. The merchant of the faction in the destroyed city disappears. So you no longer have access to their weapons and gear sets. Additionally, you will not be able to reach the highest popularity level.
If you want to continue working closely with the Shadow Dragons, save Minrathous. If you want the crows by your side, fight for Treviso.
