In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there are different classes to choose from. Whether you can switch them after the game starts is clarified in our guide.
How many classes are there? In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you have the choice of three different classes right from the start:
- Warrior
- Mage
- Rogue
Each class has three subclasses, each coming with different play styles. But what if, shortly after starting, you realize that the class you chose doesn’t suit you? Is switching possible?
The answer is: No.
The class you select at the beginning cannot be changed later. However, the developers have integrated some practical features into the game.
Switching classes is not possible – Other options
What options do you have? If you find that you don’t like a class, you have two options:
- Either you start a new game and create a new character with an alternative class.
- Or you practice patience and continue playing until level 20.
From level 20 on, you can choose one of three specializations. A basic mage can become a death mage, and a warrior can turn into a frontline soldier with a powerful two-handed weapon.
The specializations offer plenty of room for alternative play styles, so you might still find happiness with your initially chosen class.
Moreover, all invested skill points can be reset at any time, and that too is free. This is convenient and works well; unlike in other titles, you don’t have to pay with gold or anything like that.
An overview of all classes and specializations can be found on MeinMMO. Once you have made your decision and are looking for a good build, check this out:
