Dragon Age: The Veilguard: All Unique Items and Where to Find Them

In Dragon Age: The Veilguard you can equip your character Rook with various pieces of equipment. Some special items stand out: the uniquely marked items with a red background. MeinMMO lists all of these special items for you and reveals how to obtain them.

What are unique items? In The Veilguard, all items have special effects. Unique items stand out especially and are so special that they can essentially define a build on their own.

Unlike regular items, you cannot upgrade or enhance unique items. However, they come with significantly increased base values that easily outperform all other items early in the game. You can also enchant them.

Please note that we are still collecting information. For now, you will find all items of the warrior, which is particularly suitable for starting as a class here. We will expand the article accordingly. Feel free to write to us in the comments if you find an item that is still missing from the list.

Spoiler Warning: We try to reveal as little about the story in the article as possible. However, at some points, it is not possible to explain how to obtain the items without certain mentions, as they are partly rewards from quests.

All unique weapons and shields with locations

The Hard Way (Axe): In the southern center of Treviso. You can reach the roof of a building from the fast travel point “Streets of the Ringing Coin” via scaffolding. Move the bookshelf aside, and the chest is on the balcony.
Meredith’s Legacy (Sword): Reward for “The Treasure of the Sharkjaw Caves” after completing Taash’s quests.
Mythal’s Light (Sword): You need to convince Mythal to help you without fighting her.
Defender of the Necropolis (Shield): In the northeastern part of the Arlathan Forest. The area opens only after completing several quests.
Inscriptions Stone (Shield): At the vendor of the Mourning Watch from rank 4.
Wedge of Fate (10 years aged) (Shield): After completing all quests in the Hossland wetlands, the corruption slowly recedes. A small area with the chest opens up at the middle fast travel point in the east, where the shield is located.
Grave Fidelity (Two-Handed Axe): In a chest at the crossroads. You must defeat Revenants in the world and gather their essence to open the doors. Part of the quest “Heart of Corruption”.
Brutal Hammer (Two-Handed Mace): Reward for completing Taash’s quest, found in a treasury after the final boss.

All unique armors with locations

Pillar of the Dead (Heavy): In the boss room after defeating the possessed, undead dragon in the Necropolis (after the quest “Restless Spirits”).
Extravagant Plate Armor (Heavy): At the vendor of the Masters of Fate from rank 4.
Imperium’s Determination (Heavy): At the vendor of the Shadow Dragons from rank 4. Keep in mind that your decision between Minrathous and Treviso has consequences here.
Arlathan’s Fall (Medium): At the vendor of the Veiljumpers from rank 4.
Feathers of the Angry Raven (Medium): At the vendor of the Ravens from rank 4. Keep in mind that your decision between Minrathous or Treviso has consequences.
Completion of the Magister (Light): In the sewers of Docktown after fighting a demon. You will see the chest early but can only reach it after several side quests just before the end of the game.
Commander’s Presence (Light): At the vendor of the Grey Wardens from rank 4.

Helmet of the Raven (Heavy): At the Black Emporium in Docktown; you receive the invitation late in the game.
Commander’s Helm (Heavy): In the south of the Hossberg wetlands after destroying the pustule and defeating the boss there.
Silent Gaze of the Paragon (Medium): In a chest during Harding’s last personal quest.
Last Breaths (Medium): Reward for the haunting quest line of the Mourning Watch.
Iron Veil (Light): In the east of the Arlathan Forest on an island with a guardian construct. You must first connect the crystals with beams from surrounding towers. This option becomes available during several quests if you are not that far yet.

The Burden: In a chest at the crossroads. You must defeat Revenants in the world and gather their essence to open the doors. Part of the quest “Heart of Corruption”. By the way, a great item for a Reaper build as a warrior.
Unyielding Stone: After Taash’s quest, hunt down another dragon. The amulet is the reward.
A Pale Reflection: After the encounter with Mythal in a chest along the now open path.

Andraste’s Will: In a chest at the crossroads. You must defeat Revenants in the world and gather their essence to open the doors. Part of the quest “Heart of Corruption”.
The Last Resort: In a chest at the crossroads. You must defeat Revenants in the world and gather their essence to open the doors. Part of the quest “Heart of Corruption”.
Essence Swirl: (Location currently unknown)
Chasm of the Black City: Defeat 50 Darkspawn in the crossroads. You will find the chest in the Corrupted Tree in the northeast.
Call of the Hall: Defeat 10 waves in the arena at the Hall of Heroism.
Curved Tail’s Crest: Solve the statue puzzle on the coast of Rivain. Accessible only after completing Taash’s quests.

All unique belts with locations

Glorious Ultimatum: Reward for the quest: “Even the Dead Tell Tales”.
Jenny’s Belt: Travel to the central fast travel point in Treviso after completing all side quests there and head to the Dellamorte estate. There you will find a statue puzzle in the courtyard:
- use Lucanis’ power to interact with the tears
- turn the statues in the direction the appearing ghostly images point
- pull the levers you can reach over the arms
- after turning the last statue behind the falling gate, a door opens, and you reach the chest with the belt
