In FIFA 22, there is now a new SBC where you can secure a Draft Token. However, the challenge is not well received by the community.
What kind of SBC is this? The Squad Building Challenge is called “Draft Your Team” and offers you a “Draft Token Pack” as a reward. As the name suggests, it contains a Draft Token.
You can use this token to participate in the Draft mode in Ultimate Team. Normally, such a token costs either 15,000 coins or 300 FIFA Points.
Coins can be earned through trading in FIFA 22. This SBC can provide an alternative way to get a token. But is it worth it?
Depending on how far you go, there are always better rewards. The Draft is especially a good way to compete with players different from those in your usual team. Or to try out new, strong formations.
What does the SBC require from you? In the challenge, you are supposed to exchange a complete team. The requirements, however, do not seem too easy to fulfill:
- At least 4 leagues in the squad
- Maximum 3 players from 1 club
- At least 84 team rating
- At least 70 team chemistry
- 11 players in the team
Overall, this results in a challenge that is solvable but can definitely be costly if you don’t have the right players: On the portal “futbin”, the first community solutions lie somewhere between 18,000 and 20,000 coins (via futbin). And that does not sit well.
Players frustrated with expensive SBC in Ultimate Team
This is what the community says: In the FIFA subreddit, players are already discussing the new Draft SBC. The main issue here is the price: The value of the team you have to exchange is higher than that of a Draft Token.
Of course, it is possible to include unneeded players from your club with a corresponding rating in the SBC. These can be untradeable, duplicate players, for example. However, some argue that you would rather use them in an SBC that offers really good rewards – and not just a Draft Token.
This is how the comments look:
- “In my opinion, this is the first SBC where you are actually crazy if you do it,” comments user “TheSmallIndian” (via reddit).
- “Very strong contender for the title of the worst SBC of all time,” thinks user Adzzii_ (via reddit).
- “I mean, I can maybe see it if you have 6 untradeable 84+ duplicates. But if not, then there’s definitely something wrong if you do it,” says user “Chelski26” (via reddit).
- “Even then, I wouldn’t waste untradeable players on this SBC, to be honest,” replies user Darkrayy (via reddit).
Instead of the SBC, some players suggest spending the 15,000 coins for a token if they want to participate in the Draft. The SBC does not seem worthwhile. Also on futbin, the SBC is currently rated with 97% downvotes at 1691 votes.
As a result, it is currently the worst-rated SBC active in FIFA 22.
However, the Draft SBC is not the only challenge that has recently caused discontent. In second place among the “badly rated SBCs” is the current challenge for the Premier League POTM: Cristiano Ronaldo. And the price for the CR7 Challenge was also seen as significantly too high by many players.
