The Pokémon GO competition has already built a strong base. Now the developers are showing new download figures for Draconius GO.
For the past few weeks, the dragon trainer game by Elyland has been a hot topic particularly in the Pokémon GO community. Draconius GO is the game where you add wild beasts to the bestiary instead of your PokéDex.
The dragon game, however, strikes a chord in the mobile community and has a rapidly growing player base.
Strong community growth in Draconius GO
The development team from Elyland recently spoke with PokémonGOHub about new figures for their game “Draconius GO.” Over 100,000 downloads were added within a week.
- Current download numbers from November 6: 439,000 downloads on iOS and Android
- Download figures from last Monday, October 30: 330,000 downloads on iOS and Android
- Release was nearly three weeks ago, on October 16, 2017
Developers work with the community
The high downloads show that the game is well-received by many gamers. This is probably also due to the developers listening to community requests. Suggestions for changes to spawns and eggs are taken seriously by the developers, who attempt to implement them.
In a recent update, the developers changed the chances of creatures that can hatch from 10km eggs. Weaker standard monsters should no longer come from these eggs, but rather stronger fighters.
Especially the rural players are happy about the alternative to Pokémon GO. In rural areas, there are few PokéStops and gyms. Dragon catchers in Draconius GO can also look forward to many creatures, pillars, and more.
No news on the dispute with Niantic
We have already reported that Niantic has issues with Draconius GO. In the eyes of the Pokémon GO developers, there is a copyright infringement here. It seems they do not intend to let this go.
The Draconius GO team reacted casually to the complaint. They believe they are in the right and, according to their own statements, have not violated any copyright. However, there is no official statement regarding the current state of affairs. We will keep an eye on the dispute for you.
