US streamer Dr Disrespect has to endure some remarks in public related to his ban from Twitch. As we now know, he was permanently banned from Twitch for exchanging inappropriate messages via Twitch’s whisper function with a then 17-year-old. The German streamer MontanaBlack also had to endure similar remarks on Twitch in Germany. But Dr Disrespect doesn’t let that slide and fights back.
What remark did Dr Disrespect receive? At the Streamer Awards in the USA, Dr Disrespect was the topic, but not as a winner or nominee.
The organizer QTCinderella said during her moderation on stage (via x):
The Streamer Awards are turning four years old. That means: In just 13 years, we will receive a direct message from Dr Disrespect.
This referenced the scandal that Dr Disrespect exchanged messages with a 17-year-old on Twitch. Dr Disrespect later denied that anything scandalous or illegal had happened, claiming they were just joking. An investigation by Twitch also concluded that nothing unlawful occurred.
However, after it became known that he had been banned from Twitch due to these messages, partners and friends distanced themselves from him, and he was kicked out of his gaming studio. In the perception of the USA, the details or the legal proceedings did not matter; they morally condemned that the streamer had engaged in inappropriate behavior with a minor.
Dr Disrespect lashes out at the entire Twitch scene: Talentless and uncreative
This is how Dr Disrespect responds: He fires back hard: In a statement on December 16, he called the entire scene “uncreative”. The people at the Stream Awards need each other to give themselves meaning. They couldn’t even understand such an elite talent as him. They are “pussies” who can’t do what he, the “Two-Time”, achieves weekly (via x):
Who was that silly little moderator at the award ceremony? We are talking about complete talentlessness! Creativity? Doesn’t exist. It’s just embarrassing how the industry has developed! I – on the other hand? You and I, side by side: We are still in top form, staying in our own lane.
Then Dr Disrespect announced an exciting year in 2025.
This statement from QTCinderella triggered the angry reaction:
A similar situation in Germany, but without consequences
How did it go with MontanaBlack in Germany? The still most relevant Twitch streamer in Germany, MontanaBlack, received a similar remark to Dr Disrespect in July 2024.
At a dart event that was broadcast live on Twitch , the host Nils Bomhoff said: “If you need someone who knows how to hit a 17, just ask MontanaBlack.” (via x)
A bit cleverer than QTCinderella, but ultimately the same statement.
However, MontanaBlack did not comment on this remark. Unlike Dr Disrespect, the German streamer has not lost any partners or business relationships. Regarding the entire topic surrounding Bomhoff’s remark, MontanaBlack has largely remained silent, waiting out the negative voices: 19-year-old is frustrated that Twitch streamer MontanaBlack remains silent about the rumors
