In a new trailer Doom Eternal promised that the game will receive content updates like an MMO. Apparently, the new Doom is going to be a service game.
Nevertheless, it seems to be flying under the radar for many players. We have found that many MeinMMO readers are interested in Doom Eternal, but they are not quite sure what to do with it.
What does Doom actually have to offer? Doom Eternal will, in the style of its predecessors, provide tons of encounters with demons, which usually end up bloody for the hellish inhabitants. As a player (or Doom Slayer), you have a plethora of weapons at your disposal – including chainsaws and flamethrowers.
Although Doom is primarily known for its hard action, there is even a story that players praised in one of the new trailers. You are supposed to free Earth, as it has been taken over during your excursion to Mars. Time for some bullets to the face!
Unlike its predecessors, Doom Eternal does not offer a classic multiplayer mode that has delighted players since early days with its deathmatch. Instead, there is an asymmetrical PvP where two demons take on one Slayer.
As a demon, you have various abilities at your disposal. You have various “classes” with different skills and can also summon minions. The Slayer, on the other hand, starts fully equipped, which compensates for the disadvantage of being outnumbered.
